We booked for a short 5 day stay and were glad to realise it was such a close proximity to restaurants, souvenir stores, Victoria Street and the famous Edinburgh castle! The staff were friendly upon arrival HOWEVER we were told by one gentlemen that our room was not ready but to rest assure when it would be, we would have a wonderful view of the castle during our stay. When our time came to check in a women gave us our room but it was on the opposite end of the hotel so we did not get the view we were told. Still, a very clean, comfortable stay. There were some loud noises at night, assuming from other guests and some noise during the morning from tradesmen but overall the sister hotel/restaurant a minute walk down the road was pleasant.

Modern hotel, located in a good position for the City, the bar restaurant was closed, so had to walk down to larger Sister hotel situated 5 mins away, the swimming pool is also located at this separate hotel. I was unaware that the hotel offered its own parking, until I arrived, which was too late as I’d parked 10 mins away at an NCP car park, which turned out to be very expensive! This hotel needs to add the car parking facility onto the Hotels.com app, so that customers are aware.

Very quiet and comfortable room - really enjoyed the water cooler refill station on our 2nd floor lobby. Breakfast choices were great - lovely to sit at breakfast and see Edinburgh castle right there

Always a great stay
This is our fourth one-week stay at Apex City of Edinburgh and it won't be our last. The staff were able to quickly and easily handle a minor issue we had and our stay was great, as usual. We'll be back, for sure.

This is a great hotel for parents with children but super tight when the couch bed is pulled out but when it returns to a couch it is wonderful. Located just across from shops, pubs, restaurants and Victoria Street. Very comfortable

Would recommend to everyone
This hotel was everything I could have asked for. The family room was spacious and adequate for our stay. The room offered hot drinks and biscuits. Water tap on every floor and a large jug in the room which is complimentary. 5 minute walk up some stairs and you are at the castle and the top of the royal mile. Also the hop on hop off bus tour bus stop is opposite the hotel.

Fab hotel
Room was great and had lots of space. Clean towels everyday and a little welcome gift of an Apex signature duck. Was nice to come back to the hotel after a busy day, to find mulled wine and mince pies for guests to help their selves to. The grass market area is lovely and close to most attractions. The staff were friendly and catered to our needs. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is in an great position, easy walk to the Royal Mile and a couple of great coffee shops nearby for breakfast. Good sized double room, was very clean and had everything required. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
