Great position in town

In a great position if you arrive by train but it’s an old tired building and feels like they haven’t quite upgraded it to warrant the price we paid. In saying that, staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome, and the beds were comfortable.

We had two nights here to travel up and down the west coast. It was a great tip off point for both franz Josef and hokitika, but a little sleepier than hokitika, which we liked.

Five minute walk from the train with quick and friendly check in . Bedroom had lovely view of the coast and a small balcony . Bed very comfortable and coffee , tea in room . Stayed just one night but would definitely stay here again

Probably the best hotel in Greymouth

A nice hotel room, that was spacious. There’s no air conditioning but we left the balcony door open and there was no road noise. The hotel restaurant was good for both evening meal and breakfast.
