A wonderful little place. Our room was in the “annex” building across the road, which was whisper quiet - very little street noise could be heard nor noise from other guests. A very secure building also, with swipe card access required throughout. Room was incredible spacious and wonderfully comfortable, the addition of a washer/dryer was also very convenient. The amenities available in the very stylish lobby was a nice touch too. Great location with lots of shops, restaurants, metro stations in easy walking distance. Would absolutely stay again.

Had a great time. Easy check in and check out experience. Hotel is next to a 5-7 minute walk from subway station. There’s a 7-Eleven and Starbucks nearby too with other great local places as well. Overall a great blend of safety and convenience.

We like the property because it is located in close proximity to transportation & other amenities. It is close to Karasumaoike Station, which takes us to Kyoto Station. It is also within walking distance to the famous Nishiki Market & the adjacent shopping districts like Gion. The hotel is generally clean and presentable although there are many stain marks on the carpets both out in the common areas and in our room. Our room is generally clean and comfortable but the absence of windows that can allow us to see outside make the room feels darker & slightly claustrophobic. (There are windows but all of them are frosted). Perhaps this is because we are not situated in the main building of the hotel but in the annex portion, which is lower and closer to the neighbouring building. The staff team is friendly, courteous and helpful. We needed some assistance with our room and it was dealt with promptly without fuss. Overall, this is a nice hotel and is one that I am happy to recommend to the next fellow tourists to Kyoto.

From the moment we arrived the staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. We added on an extra night and had to switch rooms. When we went check our luggage, they had already cleaned the next room and we were able to move first thing in the morning. The rooms were very clean too. Close to trains and good restaurants. Thank you so much!

Tokyu Stay was the best hotel we stayed in Japan hands down. SO spacious, so clean, felt very high end for the price, staff was very accommodating and overall was a perfect stay. I would highly recommend.

Super dirty room with food marks on the fridge, carpet. Thick layer of dust everywhere. A very bad smell in the bathroom which you could smell it while sleeping on the bed. I asked the staff to give us another room on another level. The new room was also in the same condition. I know it’s a 3star hotel but hygiene shouldn’t be compromised.
