Staff need to be better Rooms are average but clean Bathroom is tired shower needs upgrade handheld that the fixing is too low on the wall AC was good Balcony doors wouldnt lock and railing loose Pool was treated with chemical and closed for a day poor treat it at night Great central location get what you pay for

Nice and quiet, excellent location. Aircon not very cold, shower in bath with little pressure, lack of power outlets in room , bedding and towels old and dirty looking, no lift, rooms not cleaned very well, pool became green after a couple of days

I had booked a Garden view poolside room, which was located next to the kitchen. Each morning was woken at 6am from breakfast preparation. We were 3 rooms from the poolside, which was a blessing as the pool was very noisy with everyone having a lovely roudy time. Only 4 pool beds and 6 beanbags to lounge by the pool. Actually did not swim in the 17 days we stayed as there really was no where to sit and relax, pool beds and bean bags were always in use. The restaurant was only available for a very basic breakfast, which was ok. The restaurant was not open for lunch and dinner, although you could order room service, which came in from an outside source. Only 6 tables seating 4 people were available for breakfast, we went at different times and unfortunately a table was not always available. So for the last week of our holiday we ate breakfast at Sheppy's. All the staff were so pleasant and were very helpful when issues arised with the air conditioner and several times with our door not closing/locking on 3 occasions.

Everything was great. Location, quiet,well maintained,clean,staff were always kind and helpful. The only thing I'd like to see changed is the breakfast it wasn't bad just needs a bit of variety. Needs to change it every day but also it was cheap.so not really complaining. 😕

Fawlty towers minus the rude manager.
The staff were very friendly although seemed relatively young. No sign of senior management. The rooms were fairly clean although the fridge cupboard was falling apart. The little things were missing, eg no Do Not Disturb sign for door, in the bathroom we only had a container of soap and conditioner provided. The soap was empty so we took the plunger out and left it to be refilled only to have it topped up with water. (Twice). Staff at the pool bar went missing quite a lot. My husband asked for a beer and the attendant opened the fridge, closed it again and left and didn’t return. No one came to serve guests for over an hour and this during happy hour. Couldn’t charge drinks to room, had to carry cash to the pool. Despite the hotel photos there were only four sun lounges and four bean bags to accommodate guests in over 40 rooms. Very difficult to relax by the pool. My husband was recovering from a knee operation and we asked for a ground floor room. We were told to come back the next day to organise but when we did were told that they were all booked. The breakfast was ordinary to say the least. We paid extra for breakfast but after trying it twice we ate at restaurants nearby. Some mornings music was turned on around 7am. Not entirely welcome when on holiday. All in all an okay stay but wouldn’t stay again.

So this was my first time at Fourteen Roses Beach Hotel. Overall, I have to say that it was a pretty good stay: the ac was chilly, the restaurant served up some yummy fare, and beds were comfortable. The staff was also very friendly, but I will say that a few members of the staff did struggle with English from time to time.

Overall, the stay was pleasant. The rooms were large and spacious, and while the furniture and bathroom were a bit old, they were clean. Room service came daily, and the balcony was large and a relaxing place to enjoy the view of the pool and the flower-filled trees. The staff was very respectful, and the breakfast was very good and varied, though I found hair on two occasions. Other than that, there was nothing to complain about. The hotel is located behind the main street, away from the traffic noise. We will definitely come back.
