Delightful offbeat looking hotel. The worst thing I can say about my stay is that the bathroom door, instead of opening into the bathroom instead opened outward into the room, blocking the path from the room to the closet and to the door of the room. Other than that we had a great stay.

Very comfortable stay in Pasadena
I was there overnight; the hotel is close to family. It's very comfortable. The room was large and well-equipped. Everything seemed reasonably new or recently refurbished. The gym is very well equipped. The music at the pool is a bit annoying if you're close to it, but it's not the end of the world (and does not play late at night, at least). The wifi works well enough. The parking is a bit pricey, but is quite convenient. It's walkable to a number of nearby restaurants and stores. All in all, I think it's a reasonable option in Pasadena.

The girl at the front desk needs additional training. We were misinformed about the hours and what was being served in the restaurant. She thought brunch was being served until 2:00, but it was breakfast until 11:00. I asked for room coffee and was told to track down a housekeeper. No coffee or glassware in the room. Poor for $800 per night

Very nice hotel in downtown Pasadena
I was there for three nights around Christmas. The hotel was very comfortable. Seemed pretty new. Parking underground was easy and convenient (a bit pricey, but once you know to build that into the room price it’s fine). Staff was helpful and friendly. The WiFi worked well the whole time I was there. The gym was well equipped and tidy. The restaurant was pretty good. It is walkable to lots of places in downtown Pasadena. I think my only criticisms are that they need a better system for “I am happy to reuse this towel”, and the pool starts around 8am with pretty loud music, so if you face it you’re going to be hearing the music all morning. That could be a holiday effect, of course.

The hotel is set or is located in a quiet area of Pasadena, but I was there during Christmas Eve and perhaps other time of the year may not be like Christmas Eve. It was clean and nice staff too. What I did not like was that you have to pay $15 overnight for parking your vehicle - it's bad enough you are paying for the stay and Pasadena is acting like San Francisco sticking the fee for the parking. Anyone could walk in the Parking area, and I found it a bit concerning. Also, they ask for $100 deposit while you check in for security- that was not mentioned when I made the reservations- more like a hiding fee - I hope they are correct that I may get it back withing 3 business days.
