This is an excellent Hotel. At the moment there are renovations and updates being done. It is still quiet and this process is not interfering with clients.

My wife and I were very impressed with the cleanliness and facilities available at Oceanside. The bed was comfortable, the bathrooms were fine and my daughter loved having a swim in the pool. Couldn’t ask for much more from a cheap single room. Although simple, very happy with our stay.

Easy check in. Air con wasn’t adjustable Shower head position wasn’t well thought out. Can’t turn the shower on before you get in and close the door. Very cramped. No power or lighting until you put the card in. Very hard to be able to navigate where to put the card in pitch blackness.

The room was well appointed however there were a few issues to mention: 1) The bathroom door handle came off and was not installed properly (Poor quality workmanship). 2) The TV remote was not working properly, and I could not lower the volume (no physical button on the TV either) and there was no way you can turn the TV off with the bright white screen staying on (you have to turn off the switch at the power point). 3) TV reception was horrible and all channels were freezing constantly. 4) The shower was very powerful and the spout sprays water outside the tub. 5) There is no room service on a Sunday. I asked for my room to be made up and the cleaning staff said no. They did give me a fresh set of towels. 6) The pictures on Wotif are deceiving. There are no push bikes to use nor is there a courtesy bus available. If you don't have your own car, then you will have to walk 30 minutes to the CBD or hire an e-scooter or Uber or Taxi.
