Property right on the beach, location was great. The building itself is in dire need of updating, for example my room bathrooms sink was a two spout system that was all the rage in the 40’s and 50’s. Very old. The air conditioner in the room did not work period. The exterior felt to me it was going to fall apart at any moment. Little unnerving to say the least. The stay would be good for mid 20’to 30’s single people. Not a family.

This hotel is not good..! go smowegere else. I booked this hotel based on their pcitures and advertisement. I booked this hotel at the last minute. I arrived and there's contrcution every where around the hotel. I guess the city is building a park The receptionist was not friendly and explained to me briefly why we are charging me a resort fee. The resort fee was not the problem it was her attitude. Then I went to my room and the elevator took forever. The elevator is the slowest elevator I ever been on. It took almost 4 minutes to go from floor 1 to 4. The towels in the room were old ( probably 15 years old) they do not smell fresh or clean. The conditions of the hotels are bad. It looks like an old hotel without a proper maintenance. The next day I asked if they can clean my room and they told me that they only clean the room if the stay is at least 3 nights ( iwas staying only for 2 nights). The fornt desk lady said if I need towels I can request it right there at the front desk. The whole time I was there, I have to take the stairs because again the elevator took forever. On Sunday I got early, went to excercise, had breakfast, visited my family to say good bye. I showed at the hotel at 11:20am, I went to my room and the key didn't didn't wrok. I went to front desk and another lady with a rude attitude told me that the checkout was at 11:00 am. I told her nobody informed of that. I thought it was at 12pm. I had to pack in 10 minutes and leave to avoid an extra charge.

There is construction around the hotel. Parking is at the public beach parking lot and it is a hassle to continue feeding the meters. The elevator is incredibly slow. It is rather frustrating actually. It was nice to be oceanfront and not have to pay an arm & a leg. But, there is a sacrifice of quality and time invested to get the lower pricing.

Our room was filled with sand from the ocean coz we spent time at the beach each day. A little room service wouldn’t hurt. We tried to wash out before going back in but we had sand all over us, with 3 kids so go figure

I have stayed at this property several times and not because its this high class hotel, I stay because of the uniqueness of the hotel and how its truly an antique in my opinion. Its old and needs work that they are trying and have been renovated but this hotel is from a long time ago and its standing still in that olden time. It feels nostalgic. The elevator is super, super slow as if its still stuck in another time period. The staff is excellent and are very accomodating if they can accommodate. They have a lot of work to do on the building and rooms but I love feeling like I'm in the true olden Miami beach hotels i grew up going to as a kid. This hotel reminds me of my childhood.

Had to climb 7 flights of stairs elevator wasn’t working right not clean , not refundable if you book your stay , no Tolly to help with luggage even though it is supposed to be a no smoking it smelled like an ashtray . Pool nasty ! Anything you see in pictures is a lie !!

Pool is absolutely terrible. Cement is breaking and the electric pole is right over pool. Never cleaned the whole week we were there. Pool is full of nylon pieces from the rope. No cushions on outdoor furniture. We needed to call the front desk but our phone didn’t have a cord to b able to use it. Just a phone sitting on a table. I broke my toe first day we were there due to uneven flooring from bathroom to main room. Tried to give me a pool view room even though I reserved an ocean front. Elevator is so slow. Takes literally 30 mins to go up to 4th floor. The view to the beach was beautiful minus the construction but that’s not hotels fault. We heard during our stay they have plans to shut down this hotel which is why they no longer care about the upkeep. We stayed 7 days and they cleaned the room once only because we kept asking to borrow a broom to sweep the sand up. Much nicer places farther down the beach to stay at. Definitely do not recommend!!

Ok so this is a budget overnight stay and I know the details of those. But with the construction going on around the property and the general abuse of the property, this was my by far worst experience there. 1 -- The door bar lock was missing from the wall. Only pieces of it remained 2 -- The door latch didn't work at all. 3 -- The shower knob came off in my hand. 4 -- The always present "The elevator works but is slow" is getting old at this point. 5 -- The cleaning staff wondering if we're checking out or not since they're on our floor (AWESOME GUYS) but we have 2 hours to go before check out. Give it a minute.

I loved this stay maybe better than the last time I stayed here! As always, the staff was amazing food and drinks were so bomb!! The bartender was incredibly sweet! But the shining star of this trip was easily AJ on overnights. He has a beautiful soul and we are so lucky to have had some moments to chat with him. Amazing customer service and we are most definitely coming back next year! ❤️❤️❤️
