Nice hotel, exceeded our (very modest) expectations. Our favorite thing about the hotel however was how easy their complimentary Lyft/Uber to and from the airport was.

The front desk staff was top notch and did a great job! The property is located in a sketchy neighborhood. There's not much you can do about that. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. Otherwise, this place truly is a gem in a declining neighborhood.

The Courtyard Marriott in Oakland,California is a very nice facility in an area that isn’t necessarily ideal for scenery, however, it’s very close to Oakland International Airport and is vey convenient if you need to catch a flight out and leave your car. The hotel itself is clean and quiet. I did not use the Bistro this visit, but I have ordered on a previous visit and it was pretty good. There are not many restaurants or fast food in the area, but the nearby town if Alameda (10 minutes away)has everything you may need…just ask your smartphone to find it. Those Marriott mattresses are the best for a great nights sleep…soooo comfortable.

Easy check in, lots of parking spots available. Fast check in process and decent views from balcony. Elevator was in far back of the hotel which isn’t typical but it’s not the end of the world. Comfortable bed, the room itself wasn’t bad def not like a bed you’ll find at the four seasons but it’s not a 2star hotel def a 3.5. If the hotel changed their carpeting in the room then it would completely change my star rating, as it seemed a bit old and felt odd walking barefoot on it. I didn’t find a safe in my room and there was only one type of coffee ref and decaf in the room would be nice to have 2 of each. Otherwise the stay was great thanks!

If you have to stay in Oakland because of your flight at the airport or what not then this is the hotel to be at. It has easy access to the highway and it is close to the airport with free access with Lyft through the hotel for your airport shuttle to and from as early as 4am This is a plus in a crunch. The hotel itself is clean and luxury type that sits in the midst of one of the worst areas that I’ve ever seen. I did not know this and did a train ride to concord for business. I was a female with luggage and a purse and a gang was onboard. It was a memory that could have gone really wrong. Do not travel through this community it is full of homeless, drugs, and gangs. This hotel will help you feel safe if you just need it for the night for a flight or if you need to get out just jump directly on the highway access. If possible get a flight at another airport. I would stay at this hotel again if I had to. I wouldn’t feel safe anywhere else. The staff was nice and it has a grab in go and small market inside. The food was good - pizza, breakfast items, bar, etc There is a pool if it’s warm enough with outdoor seating areas. There is an area to watch tv in theatre style seating. Apparently there is security per front desk. I did not see them but according to front desk they have them? I hope this helps -
