I went to park and where I parked was a homeless beggar wanting money. I had to park further away from my room to feel safe going to my room. Other than that the room is clean. The bed was hard but that’s minor. Check-in was done through a window after a certain time. The hotel itself was off the beaten path but only 15 minutes from the airport so it’s convenient for that. Aside from having to park a ways away from my room, my stay was great.
OMG the room smelled like cigarettes and bleach. It was so bad smell I got a headache. I had to keep the window open all night even though it was cold and people yelling at each other in the parking lot.
The comforter had a weird brown stain on it. Made me worry about what juices made that stain.
The tv was slow responding and difficult to use. Need to update.
I had a two night reservation but I stayed elsewhere the next night forgoing the cost.
But the shower was hot and good water pressure.
The homeless man, who had established residency (he showed me a cell phone bill with the room number as evidence; thank you California), was a kind soul. You could tell. After a brief conversation about model trains we were off, starting our new life on the road. Me and terry I would like to tell you, for those wondering, have started a new family and adopted an another homeless child. We hope to call him Anthony some day but for now he only responds to random grunting sounds. Overall this motel 6 changed my life for the better. 2/5 stars.
It was average at best. It is after all a Motel 6. The price was high for a chain known for exceptional low prices, but it cost as much as any in the game. The room booked was for a king bed, yet, somehow it was not, as my husband at 6’ 2” had his feet off the end of the bed, and the wooden bed frame was larger than the mattress all the way around and I kept banging my legs into to edges which would have not been noticeable had the mattress fit the frame. Seems somewhat deceptive. The bath towels were very tiny and thin. On the plus side we arrived early by an hour and we were able to check in and rest up before our big event that evening. It was in an off the beaten path location and seemed like a fairly quiet neighborhood. I think we will spend the bit extra for a more known chain for reliable comfort.
The room is clean for the most part but there was pee and pubic hair on the back of the toilet seat when we got here and hair in the shower. The office staff are nice enough, and it’s clean-ish enough, but I would not stay here again. Noisy footsteps upstairs all night, people’s animals in nearby rooms making noise which is very easy to hear through the walls/floors. There were people sitting on cars outside my room smoking weed last night which then blew through the AC into my room. But given the neighborhood it’s in I didn’t feel safe going out there to tell them to stop. It’s also 90+ degrees out and they closed the pool anyways saying it’s the “off season” but I never saw anything about seasonal closures when I looked the place up. My kids were very disappointed to not go swimming. If I had known what I know now, I’d have gone somewhere else.
