Excellent place to stay
Such a lovely place, staff are helpful and welcoming, we loved the breakfast. Rooms are warm and the beds really comfortable. I’ve stayed there twice now and when we next bring the horses to Tallands for two days training we will stay there again.

The place is nice, but needed a few repairs in our room. The staff are happy and friendly, We did book the hotel as it had bit of a spa attached to it. Its the first one i have been to that charges an hourly rate to use even when staying in the hotel, i was even more surprised after spending over £200 on treatments we couldnt use the facilities without paying extra, Its these small things that people remember. Wouldnt use again. Back to the Hotel, the food was very good the breakfast tasted very fresh and you could adapted the options to suit. We also had food one evening in the bar which again was very good, Unfortunately we stayed when the place had xmas parties on so our neighbours both nights came back in late and very loud. But you cant hear the party downstairs. Overall its an alright place, but alot better out there for the simular price.

It is very handy for walking into Cirencester. The bed was so comfy we couldn't hear anything else at all going on around the hotel even though there were Christmas parties in full flow on both nights of our stay

Noisy apartment above on 3rd floor. Avoid room 11 as the fire exit goes through the bathroom. Alarm went off at 12.30am & we were expecting people to come charging through room. Green exit light about bed kept us awake and we had to go out and buy eye masks. Maybe we were unlucky with that room Lovely breakfast & friendly staff

Stayed here for just the one night but would have been happy to stay more. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed this before the under 5 minute drive into Cirencester where there is a nice village style high street with an array of eateries plus shops. Room was comfortable and quite spacious, shower room had a double walk in shower, heating was very toastie and we woke up too hot; could have and should have turned the radiators down but was nice when we first came in from the cold. Nice in room toiletries and tea/coffee facilities. Would recommend for a stay and we’ll be back if over that way again to try the spa

Sleepless night in room 7. Awful food
We were put in room number 7. Don’t go there unless you’re deaf because you won’t sleep. There’s a big fan going on all night. I mentioned this to reception after a sleepless night, and my comment seemed to get the person on duty back up and becoming very short in his response. After playing him the recording of the fan noise, he was surprised, yet none apologetic. The bathroom skylight was full of black mould. No ventilation and couldn’t open a window as the noise was terrible. Also, the food is horrible and not worth the price. Staff not knowing much about the food or the drinks - however, the waiters and cleaning people were very lovely and very kind.
