Spoiled by poor management and lack of AC
A very well located property in the heart of Sydney with incredible links for tourists.
Unfortunately the property management was poor at very best;
- We received zero information about how to check in prior to arrival. On touching down in Sydney and still having information about access, we sent a message on VRBO. No response. We had to call the agent via an Australian number which cost us a great deal of money to even get a response. We recieved a message which included an in unclickable link but at least a way into the property we had paid to stay at.
- No working AC. We chased this on the same day, and recieved no response for two days.
- On finally connecting with the agent via WhatsApp three days into the stay, someone was sent to check the AC. It was confirmed that the AC was broken, with no offer of refund. The agent provided a fan.
- After prompting on the fourth day of the stay, the agent promised to look into portable AC units. After further enquiries, another promise was made but no followup.
- We finished the stay with no AC and a fan blowing to keep the unit livable in.
Do stay in the unit if you don't mind the noise and heat and can deal with poor or no communication with the agent. Avoid if you want to sleep in less than 26 degrees and can mind the noises of the city all night long keeping you awake.
