Worst ever...
Well we had booked in for ⁵ nights, and left after 3. So disappointed..we wanted a relaxing break before the Xmas rush, and we were so stressed. Room was freezing and filthy. Bathroom was good but dirty. Breakfast was good then first day, and by the 2nd, it was terrible...I mean burnt beans! The food at dinner was good, but very pricey for ³ stars. While your eating all you can see is dirty and cobwebs everywhere and ripped seats. The music had us crying in our soup....come on how depressing is Julio at dinner. Staff were great and friendly. Outside was pitch black at night out the front. It's described as disabled friendly, but I use a stick and had to go down stairs to get to gym and restaurant. And some effort on the Xmas decks would have been nice.....what a waste. Have never left a hotel early. Spa staff had no interest....steam room was great. Pool was below freezing, and changing rooms were filthy.

The property was lovely, a little dated, the staff were lovely,beds very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, evening meal first night was really nice, the 2nd night wasn't as good, was told it was a different chef Sunday. The spa was very nice, used the sauna and steam room, the Jacuzzi and the pool. In fact the spa was really Christmasy but the hotel was rather poor with the Christmas decorations, overall I would definitely stay again.

Nice food at the restaurant but limited options for vegetarians/vegans, and expensive. Beautiful views of the river leading to Windermere but you can’t really travel anywhere on foot from the hotel as it leads directly from a 70mph dual carriageway. Hotel interiors are worn and dated, but clean overall.

The staff were very helpful, and the spa/gym was good for us though somewhat dated. THe only negative was with the evening meal on 3oth October. The lamb and Tapas were really good but the vegetables served with the lamb were inedible. They had been cooked but were like sticks, couldnt even cut them with a knife. The next tables had the same issue. Really strange. We should have calle the chef to explain but we felt we didnt want any fuss.

Lovely 2 night hotel stay
Great little break away with my 2 teenage sons. Lovely hotel, big room, dated but I already knew that when I booked, really clean, quality toiletries, comfy beds, good shower, spa is so nice, decent breakfast and staff are lovely. Would definitely book again. Thank you whitewater hotel and spa
