Is my room really ready?
We were given room 278. We walked in it has 2 beds as requested but only 1 single pillow total. The tv was on.....the bathroom floor smells like a dog or cat was in there and peed on the floor. The stench was too much to take. There also was no shower curtain in there! We were given a second room. 2 beds, 4 pillows, and a shower curtain. We slept and then left.

I texted a friend of mine and said, "I think I'm in the sketchiest motel I've ever been in. I suspect I can get a hooker for less than the cost of the room." At the end of the stay, basically what I'll say is this is just a very run down, no frills, probably a bit overpriced, room for the night. It will say it was quieter with less drama than I expected when I first checked in. My key didn't work in the rickety lock at first so I have to go back to the office to deal with that. I didn't feel safe leaving my stuff in the room when I went out for the evening so I took it with me. I squashed a roach with my room key at one point. I also felt a bit queasy laying on the bed and could only imagine the stories if the mattress could talk. But, I needed a cheap room close to the event I was attending and, the airport and it filled that bill. I knew going in I shouldn't have high expectations but, the stark contrast between where I stayed the previous night in Ft Myers for only $20 more was astounding.

Dirtiest people and property I have ever seen with hookers and shirtless pimps hanging out at room hallways... Holes in walls, roaches you name it... BEWARE, I left 1 minute after seeing room and other guests out front and getting a refund.

The loitering of people at the entrance of the hotel makes the worst impression for travelers finally reaching their destination to finally have a man with his luggage on his phone starring into every car watching each person check in . Surroundings make a difference in how people feel safe . He is aware that he is out of place yet he won’t back down and move into in a less obvious stance yet no one from Motel 6 came to remove this person
