Everything was excellent-- location, service, impressive breakfast buffet, staff, beautifully decorated lobby--except that our room was so humid that the sheets were damp, the hotel phone did not work, and I found a little cockroach in the bathroom in the morning.

Overall, a great stay. Our first time staying in this hotel. All the staff we met were very accommodating and welcoming. They were also pleasant and appeared happy to be at their work. Nothing was too much of an ask for them. Any requests I made, I was assisted immediately.

Hotel is very nice and in the great location. The rooms are old and not recently renovated but very clean. Housekeeping team was wonderful. Timely, efficient and pleasant. Reception service is not to the level of 5 star hotel standard. In the attempt to please they would give completely incorrect direction. They were not aware that Terminal 4 is under reconstruction and gave us wrong info for our departure flight. Valet team was great. Food for breakfast was great and we enjoyed trying variety of different dishes. All in all good stay.

Pros: The Royal service was impeccable. The service and help of the staffs especially the manager, Kathleen was the best of all the Fairmont that we’ve been to. She went way up and beyond for our stay to be comfortable. Cons: we always try to stay at Fairmont Hotels whenever we travel because of their beautiful buildings, nice and comfortable rooms, best service and facilities. However, the room that we had in Fairmont Makati was a huge disappointment. The linens were old, the interior of the room was old and needs serious refresh/update. I can’t believe that I was in Fairmont for the kind of room that we had because it’s way below the standard of Fairmont. We were so disappointed that we only stayed for 2 nights instead of 4 nights. We had to switch hotel because it’s not worth to pay $900 for 2 nights with that kind of accommodation.
