We booked room but get tent, no light, no heat, 30-40 degrees temp with heavy winds not enough blanket not anyone available to speak , no network to find alternate hotel, had to spent night in the car with kids ,
It was nightmare,
The property is near the entrance to Death Valley and has a fairly good restaurant. The rooms are small. The beds are clean but the rest of the room is not. They definitely treat this more as a camping ground than a hotel. Walls are thin, might as well be camping! Super overpriced since it was also a busy weekend.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Toilet was clogged after couple of usage. Door knobs were difficult to open or close.
We got exactly what we booked, which was a safe place to sleep with a bathroom available! We got a small glamping tent and it was basically the only thing available since we booked kinda late and camp sites were full (we aren't "first come first serve" type). I'm glad we brought our camping gear because the beds were less comfortable than sleeping on the ground would have been, so we eventually folded up the best and put our ground pad down. The tent was also incredibly loud in the wind. Bathrooms were clean and front desk staff were fabulous. Probably won't book again, but worked out for our short notice trip. In the future I'd rather save some money and pitch our own tent.
Was perfect for what we wanted. Only downside is the beds were not as pictured and we planned based on the pics. Please upgrade the showers or at least functional handles for temperatures.
Great little unique property, highly recommend in the cooler months as some of the rooms (historic rooms) do not have air conditioning. We had to head out super early to beat the sun and the fridges were down in the gas station d/t the hottest July on record at Death Valley!! The night sky is worth the heat!!
This was supposed to be a resort. It turned out to be a grouping of motel rooms built in the 1920s. They were old and had a lot of issues. One being there was no air conditioning in the majority of the rooms. There was supposed to be swamp coolers keeping the air cool. However, in the room we were assigned the vent was covered by tin foil and no air was coming in. Remember this is in Death Valley National Park. I estimate that the temperature in the room was around 90 degrees. I went back and complained and we were given a bunk cabin with a double bed. There was an air conditioner in this unit but it did cool well. Overall it was a big disappointment in what was expected. The only bright spot was the restaurant which had excellent food and a friendly staff.
