Loved our stay at Rumfish! Travelled with small children and there was lots to do. Beach was beautiful, pools clean, staff friendly but not pushy or hovering. We especially enjoyed the crafts by the pool and cabanas!

The check in process is chaos. You do not get your room at 4. They said the process starts at 4. It took over a hour. The rooms are a glorified old motel room. Musty and ripped carpet. Most amenities were closed. You’re paying to use their beach which was very pretty. Everything else was mediocre

We spent the last four nights at this newly rehabbed facility, post hurricane. The weather was gorgeous, so luckilly we didn’t need to spend much time in our musty room. We were in bed nightly by 10:30, but woken up every night by screaming children in the room next door, drunk college kids walking by the entrance, every single night…..and then the screeching birds every day at 4am. Went and bought earplugs, nada, didn’t help a bit. Since the resort was at capacity, there was nothing they could do for us. Coming back from a refreshing vacation that I should feel well rested from, but damn, I’m exhausted because I couldn’t sleep through the night.

The resort itself was great for kids and fun night vibes for the kiddos around the pool area. Good dining options at hotel and beautiful calm beach. Good , fun restaurants nearby walking distance. Rooms are outdated . Our air conditioner worked off and on. Blew out cold air half the time and hot air the other half making the nights uncomfortable. We had no light on our bathroom mirror - which meant no light at all to get ready etc .. as that was the only light option for that area. Called 4 times to get that fixed. Finally someone came and said they needed to talk to the manager to get a new mirror…never heard back and never got resolved. Room service was just ok. Hardly made the beds. Never enough towels were left for us to shower. Bathroom was a shoebox .

Property is tired. Three star property at best in a nice location on the beach, no way four star. Needs a lot of work still to be done since the storm as well. They should warn you of facility issues prior to charging $55 a day extra for resort fees. Kind of tacky.

Ok not great tables and dangerous.

Beds and sheets where clean rooms are dated and the building could use some more upkeep kind of expensive for what you get . Also the glass table top was not secured and almost crashed my little one and when I brought it to there attention they said they’d fix it straight away but after talking with other guests sounds like all tables are not secured so I doubt anything was actually done. But seems very dangerous.

The beach & pool area are the highlight of the property. The Bar/Restaurant are also great. Rooms are very dated, and cleanliness was disappointing. There were beard shaving around the sink when we first checked in and some kind of paw prints all over the bathroom floor and one of the comforters.

It was Ok

Hotel was ok. They make it look much better online than what it actually is. They also make you wear wristbands your entire stay which were annoying and we were constantly being scratched by them. If you want to use the umbrellas by the beach, you have to pay $15 per day. The rooms themselves were good. Beds and pillows were comfortable but I wish we could have set the AC lower than 68°.
