Searching for a hotel in Yamakura? Unfortunately, they're as in short supply as the hair on your great uncle Barry's head. But you'll have plenty of choice if you venture a little further out. Pick from 21 various sorts of accommodation within 30 kilometres of central Yamakura.

lastminute.com.au recommends catching some Zs at the Hilton Tokyo Narita Airport and the Crowne Plaza ANA Narita. They're both fantastic options, especially if you're okay with staying a bit further out. Otherwise, stop by the Narita Tobu Hotel Airport and the Radisson Narita.

Even though it's 13 kilometres outside of the downtown area, Narita International Airport is certainly worth looking into. It's got 18 accommodation options to pick from, including the Hotel Nikko Narita and Richmond Hotel Narita.

If you're still after a place to stay and aren't satisfied with your options, you could try the Narita Excel Hotel Tokyu or the APA Hotel Keiseinarita-ekimae. The first is 16 kilometres away, while the second is 20 kilometres away. If these don't suit, we'd recommend you have a look at the Narita Gateway Hotel, which is 17 kilometres from town.

After more options? Hole up like a rockstar in Urayasu (just try not to trash the joint). Located 60 kilometres away and home to Funabashi Shrine and the Sapporo Beer Chiba Factory, it's sure to be an adventure to remember! If you'd like to spend a night or two in Urayasu, look into the Hotel Dream Gate Maihama and Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay. Alternatively, you could stay in Yuki, 80 kilometres to the northwest of Yamakura, where you can pick from the Hotel Route-Inn Oyama and Hotel Route-Inn Yuuki. Tsumugi no Yakata and Takedasuga Shrine are up there with the most popular places to see in Yuki.

If you've gotta stay near the airport when you arrive, see if you can reserve a room at the Narita Airport Rest House or the Marroad International Hotel Narita. And if you can't be bothered pulling out a map, Narita International Airport is located 13 kilometres away from central Yamakura.
