The Dewan was overbooked so we were moved to their sister hotel Nouvo city supposedly to an upgraded room . The room was clean but very dated and the layout of the rooms meant lots of noise from adjoining rooms . The staff were professional but not overly friendly and at checkout insisted I pay for a cold water for 30b on my card. The area itself is a good one with plenty of food and drinking options . I won’t be returning to these hotels .

Staff were amazing and very accomodating. Rooms were clean, roof pool was great. Cons coackroaches in stairwell, moldy bathroom, thin walls. Cons would not deter us to stay again.

This is my go to place to stay in Bangkok. The hotel is a lovely oasis of sanctuary in the craziness of Bangkok. Nice comfortable rooms, friendly staff, pleasant swimming pool on the roof. The location is great, just off the end of Soi Rambuttri with all those nice restaurants. And a few minutes walk from Khao San Road, but far enough away to avoid all the noise. Near palaces and other tourist attractions. Great place to stay.

The hotel is ik in a good position. Rooms were ok. Taps didnt stop dripping after being switched off. We inadvertantly left some money on the bed when we went out. When we got back it had disappeared. I asked room service and reception. Both said they didnt find the money. Pool area was fine but there is no bar/ drinks service which would be a benefit in the heat. Overall we enjoyed Bangkok but i dout we would go back to the hotel

It’s a good option if you want to be in the middle of it all in Old Town, don’t want to pay too much and don’t mind that it’s a bit run down. I found the room to be grubby and the bed rock hard. Wouldn’t want to spend more than a night or two here but it is convenient. Also there is a pool on the roof. We didn’t try it but I’m sure it’s a plus for lots of people as Bangkok is HOT.

Amazing hotel!
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room and the common areas were clean and well-maintained—decent-sized rooms. The facilities were nice. The location was great and in the middle of the most commonly visited tourist areas, but it was still quiet, and we couldn't hear a beep when in the room. I would definitely stay there again next time I am in Bangkok.

Great location. A couple roads behind Khao San Rd and surprisingly quiet. Nice roof top terrace and pool. Air conditioner worked well to cool but very noisy. I like a firm bed that the beds were hard.

Dewan is a basic but excellent choice of hotel if you want to stay within five minutes of Khaosan Rd but you don’t want to deal with the noise. Don’t expect five star luxury, but expect prompt help when you need it and very friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless clean. The rooftop pool and terrace are fantastic for enjoying a swim and a drink as the sun goes down over Bangkok. There is a massage shop at ground level, a 7-11 across the road, and an authentic little restaurant nextdoor to the 7-11, so all very convenient. Highly recommended.

If you want to stay in the old area of Bangkok close to the Grand Palace and some street markets and bars , the location is great. The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. The noise though from the street is very strong ,,also there was another loud humming sound, we assumed it was from the air-conditoning in another too. Apart from the street noise we happily stay again.

The Dewan Bangkok is a unique boutique hotel with charming touches and wonderful staff. The staff anticipate your needs without being intrusive. We felt safe and well taken care of. Here, you are a short ride away from major sites, close to many restaurants (including a couple of excellent vegan restaurants) and one can enjoy Khaosan Road without being in the midst of the cacophny.
