I stayed here for 12 nights. The property itself was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Probably needs a complete makeover as its like stepping back into the 90s with the decor. There was also strong underlying damp smell to the place though...particularly in the corridors and in the rooms which we did get used to but yeah...not pleasant. I would have appreciated some more coffee tea and milk sachets in the room if i was being really picky...having Starbucks downstairs was a saving grace. Overall you get what you pay for and The Davis Hotel would go to the next level if they decide to invest and renovate to the modern day.👍

spacious bedroom. just got some comment regarding the photo showing the swimming pool by the cabana but guest are not allowed to go, they should not shoe that in the photos if guests are not allowed , but overall is a great place, staffs are nice.

The property is old school luxury, absolutely loved it! We stayed in the corner suites, our room was roomey and comfortable with a sitting area. TUOHY on the front desk was lovely, personable and very helpful. Arranging transportation for guided tours was easy. The rate to stay here was very very affordable, we didnt know what we were walking into as the reviews were mixed. Our stay was excellent and we will stay here on our next visit in 2025!

The room is great, comfortable, clean and spacious. There is party on the first every night, especially lively over the weekend but you won’t hear it in the room. Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a fair distance from the trains but reception can have a ride there for you right quick if you request one.

Good Hotel Lacking Charm
Weird hotel - two separate buildings. Second building is down a narrow alleyway several minutes away from main entrance. That was where we stayed. Perfectly good hotel but staff totally lacking any personality or friendliness. Overall: I would stay there again, but not with enthusiasm. If there was a competitive hotel room available I most likely would choose the alternative.

The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The rugs in the rooms could be changed but for $45 USD a night it was exactly what we were looking for ! Close enough to busy party areas but far enough to get a good nights rest. Perfect start to our backpacking adventure!
