The room was nice and bed was comfortable. The sheets had a grey stain on them. The wine was nice when we arrived!
When checking in, we were asked if we were parking, we were not told where to park, what floor or what parking bays. when we inquired about parking, we were met with attitude from the staff member. We found the parking, but when going up the elevator we found ourselves in the hotel next door. we asked the staff member about this, only then were we directed. this would have been helpful when we asked about parking, rather than making us feel silly for not knowing where to go.
At 7.30am on Monday the fire alarm went off. We called reception to tell them in case there was an issue. They said, “yes we are investigating this. the duty manager will be making an announcement. see..?” and then hung up. While understandable that the response was to be determined, we felt it rude to hang up.
Breakfast was great value and was the highlight for us.
When checking out, we were informed of $30 outstanding balance on the room.i was under the impression that everything was payed for online through expedia or the check in website. we were told that breakfast cost $60. When i challenged this saying that it had been payed for already online, we were asked for payment confirmation. When this was showed, the staff member said “oh then that’s for parking”. I feel it important that staff know what they are charging us for and how much.
