Hotel is conveniently located and is very central. However it is dated and the interior is in need of a refresh. The TV in the room is no bigger than your average computer screen which is unbecoming of the Hilton brand. Valet carparking was superb and their service was great in this area. Not sure about other hotels but they are charging for barista made coffee which is not included in the breakfast, I have never encountered this before and breakfast selection isn't very good compared to other hotels.

Very convenient location, within short walking distance from Central Station. Right on Queen Street Mall, very good for shopping and dining. We were checked in early as our room was ready. What a lovely gesture! Room is large, quiet with good amenities, bed very comfortable.

The staff we dealt with at reception were unhelpful and admitted it was an issue however kept coming up with excuses and no solution. Although the manager rectified the situation, the dealings with the staff was unpleasant and unfortunately impacted our stay.

Checkin was disappointing, the room was not ready at 3pm checkin, which I would not have minded but when travelling with 2 young children, it made the process quite difficult. Also the checkin person was not so friendly, no smile, no apology and no free drinks vouchers, it was only the 2nd receptionist that we spoke to offered us a warm smile, pool keycard and then gave us the drinks vouchers. We decided to go shopping and wait for the phone call to say our room was ready but no phone call came so we just went back to the hotel and asked if the room was ready which it was, luckily. The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the middle of the CBD and shopping area. The hotel foyer is very grand but the rooms need some TLC. Pool area is clean but no food is allowed to be consumed there, if you order pool service you have to leave the pool area and eat your food in the designated eating area, drinks are allowed in the pool area though. Jacuzzi is obviously heated but the main pool is not, my kids wouldn’t even play in it.
