Downtown Jacksonville hotels with parking

The hotel restaurant was closed, the ice machine next to our room was broken. They didn’t have the drink I wanted in their vending machines so I walked down the street to the nearest gas station to find that it was closed past their open time and had exterior panels shielding the store’s windows. All of that aside, the rooms were fine and the hotel staff was friendly.

By far, best feature of the hotel is the pool area - it did not disappoint. Compared to so many other hotels, this pool has fun waterfalls which also provided shade. For the weekend we were there, it never felt crowded because the area in and around the pool is spacious. Loved how breakfast was a little different each morning - plenty of options. Never seemed like anything was running out. The bar and grill had great conch fritters - husband ordered them twice. Room was pretty typical but nice - balcony with chairs was great. Coffee and hot chocolate always available in lobby and stocked well. Only complaint would be the big hill of sand you have to walk up to get back to hotel from the beach. To avoid this, you can access the beach from the walkway next door where there is a staircase down.

Staff was prompt and cordial at check in! I felt like a VIP

The river view was amazing -- I saw lots of dolphins in the morning! Great location for attending events downtown. The staff were very helpful and kind. I would love to stay there again! That being said, the ice machine wasn't working and there was no mini fridge, but that didn't ruin my stay. Parking was safe but not cheap at $20 per night.
