Good location amenities wise, but that's about it... paid for my stay through Expedia, and then they charged my card again when I checked in ... and I opted for the pay now option on Expedia.... then its advertised there pet friendly, but charged an extra 50$ a night, 35$ a night to park, and a "hotel fee" of 17$ on top of the outrageous 170$ a night... it's dark, it's dingey, and smells weird. The fire alarm went off for about 25 minutes, and I got woken up to a crying baby every morning. The house keepers walked in on my naked husband and myself sleeping at 9am even though we had the deadbolt locked... They have to lock ALL doors even the front entrance, to make sure the homeless people don't come in and harass the guests... I was charged a 250$ "safety deposit" even though my MasterCard was on file... told I would get it back at check out... but then informed at check out it will take 6-9 business days... I'm assuming they just hope people will forget. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE . Not at all what is described...

Upon arrival we were in a room that I was not expecting so when calling down to the desk after some time to think, they were more then accommodating and put us into a beautiful courtyard view room Very happy with the service !

This is a beautiful property with a long history which the gentleman that was serving us supper was well versed in its history which I found impressive! The rooms were clean and comfortable! Will be staying here again with any future trip to NF

We had a room facing the courtyard, which was noisy with people late into the night. The staff who checked us in were polite, but seemed to be new and had trouble using the card swipe. The staff checking us out didn’t make eye contact, ask about our stay, or speak more than three sentences to us. The closet is open to the room, which isn’t the worst, but that the hangers are so difficult to actually remove and replace on the bar is a new challenge I’d never experienced before. The picture quality was so poor on the tv that it was like watching VHS again. The lighting in the bathroom creates shadows making it impossible to use those mirrors for makeup or hair. The shower was at the hottest setting for a warm experience.

The lobby was lovely and welcoming, so we're the cute photo worthy spots just off the main entry but unfortunately our air conditioning didn't work, the coffee machine was broken, and our room overlooked the pool which seemed to give the room a very "dank/wet" smell.

The hotel has a nice reception area. The rooms are average. Our sliding glass doors were screwed close. The pool was cold and there were no lights on so it seemed dark. The restaurant is also beautiful but the food was not the best. I ordered the $79 ribeye steak. The steak was slightly overcooked and rather bland. I asked for a sub on my potatoes because I did not want fries and I received a scoop of cold mashed potatoes instead of the roasted fingerlings I requested. Breakfast did not fair much better. I had the traditional breakfast which was $34. For that amount of money you expect much more than we got. The “baked beans” were not even cooked. I understand what they are trying to do. They want to be a boutique hotel in a town of big hotel chains. But it falls short and they need to pick up the food game. Staff was very pleasant.

The plumbing was horrible, bathtub clogged and no privacy curtains on windows. Only thin clear ones. It was our 10 yr anniversary (we noted this on reservation) and we didn’t even get a happy anniversary or anything at all. Parking was 35$, it was empty and the private lots across the street were $10. Makes no sense.
