For what is basically a dorm room, I was pleasantly surprised by the three-piece bathroom. I was half expecting a common, shared bathroom elsewhere on the floor. The room was spacious, but sparsely furnished. There was a desk and desk chair, but an armchair would have been nice. There was no TV, but that was expected and not an issue. The bed and bathroom appeared to be clean, but there was a rumpled, balled up blanket on the bed and a hand towel tossed onto the top of the toilet tank. I couldn't tell whether it had been used. I had to get my key card reset after breakfast because it wouldn't let me back into my room. I appreciated the luggage storage room to store my bag in after checked out so I could explore Toronto before I had to catch my train for home.
Larger than any dorm room I ever had!

University residence directly behind Toronto City Hall, and easy walk to Eaton Centre. We arrived before noon, and were given our room, which was great. Our window faced City Hall and some of Nathan Phillips Square and the Toronto skyline. Buffet breakfast included in the price. Just be aware there are no TVs in the rooms and bathrooms are basic.

I understand that this is an affordable hotel, and I wasn’t expecting luxury—but I did expect basic cleanliness. Unfortunately, my room was far from clean. The bed was damp and appeared to have bodily fluids on it, and the bathtub had multiple types of hair left behind, which was really unsettling. It was a disappointing experience overall. To their credit, the staff did move me to a different room the next day, which was much cleaner and more comfortable. Still, the initial condition of the room should never have been acceptable for any guest. I hope management improves housekeeping standards moving forward.

Great location and breakfast buffet

The location was great....downtown and very walkable ! The front desk ladies were all very knowledgeable and social (gave us a map, explained where things were etc). The rooms are no frill and no tv (bed was very comfortable) room had toiletries / ...no hair dryer...you can ask at the front desk) . Great city view ! Security person on duty (we always felt safe)! The breakfast buffet was excellent...large selection of food / drinks ! Wouod stay there again !

Great location, but cleanliness was a major issue. There were earwigs on the curtains and ants all over the furniture and bathroom floor. Very disappointing, especially for a residence that’s billed as a hotel.
