Great stay
Lovely interiors and quirky design of apartment- very clean and fresh. Our one-bed apartment had big windows (double-glazed) overlooking a nice street, sunny and much quieter than expected in festival season. Staff were so welcoming and helpful- providing an extra mattress topper and fan for our comfort. We loved the beautiful cafe downstairs and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely modern aparthotel. Separate sleeping area to living area and kitchen. Large modern bathroom. Everything you could want home from home. Wish I could have stayed longer to make use of all the facilities. Would definitely look to book an Eden Locke property again

It’s more of an apartment than a hotel. So for example they do not clean the room or change bed sheets or replace used towels daily etc But the look and feel of this place is amazing. Looks very new and modern. Very well designed. Extremly clean. Cannot beat the location as well. Walkable to All attractions you would want to go to. Amazing dining options all around. Parking is tricky, as it’s paid street parking that’s quite expensive.

Loved the location, a quieter part of Edinburgh but walkable to all the sights. Restaurants and shops all around. Check in was available on-line before arrival, just had to pick up keys at front desk, that was attached to the coffee shop counter. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was very nice. A little dark, but very clean and the decor was attractive. The bed was comfortable and I liked having the small, well equipped kitchen. Only complaint was that it was a little stuffy with the windows closed. On our last night it was a little noisy outside the room, so we needed the windows closed. It did block the noise, but even with the fan provided, it still was quite warm and humid in the room.

Excellent accommodation with friendly, helpful staff and a brilliant cafe downstairs. The only area of improvement would for cafe staff to consistently apply the discount for guests of the hotel ordering before 10am (happened one day and not the other). But, minor issue, and would thoroughly recommend this hotel when staying in Edinburgh

Staff very helpful. When dryer wasn’t getting the job done they took our laundry and dried the clothes in their linen dryer. And brought things back very nicely folded. Close to major attractions and transportation. Only caution was that the shower floor was a bit slippery. Bring somewhat handicapped I chose to do axsponde bagged instead. But all else was great.

We loved staying at Eden Locke! The location was perfect…one street over from Rose St (pedestrian area with tons of restaurants, pubs, etc.). We walked to most sites or to transportation hubs. Loved the spacious and modern apartment, which allowed us to spread out and wash clothes for the last stage of our trip. The staff and cafe were also excellent! I will definitely stay at an EL property in the future.

Very nice apartment close to all amenities and many restaurants, BUT 2 major issues: 1 - No AC. Wouldn't be a problem in the cooler seasons, but it was a nice 20 C outside when we were there. Inside the apartment it was uncomfortably hot. They provide a fan and you need to open the windows at night for cooler night air. 2 - Leaving the window open for cool air is problematic because the apartments back onto an open courtyard, inside of which is the outdoor smoking section for the Tiger Lily restaurant next door. The bar is open until 1 AM, so don't expect to get any sleep before that. Lots of loud drunks on the smoking patio until closing. The apartment itself is fantastic, but for the price we paid for our 2 nights there, I expected a much better experience. I won't stay there again until they install portable AC units and get a grip on their noisy neighbors. These improvements would make it a 5-star review, but until that happens, I can only give 3 stars.

Pass on this property.
Mold, smelly, bed sheets like paper, bed uncomfortable, phone broken in room, overall room dirty and unkept. Very disappointed in this hotel. I’ve asked the hotel manager for a callback the night of my stay to address the smell in the bathroom and still no call.

Great spot. Clean, Quiet, Great friendly staff, Kept Luggage Safe before and after check in times, staff called cabs for us when requested, great coffee shop on site, safety - keys needed to operate elevator, nice space, great walking location. Highly Recommend.

The staff were outstanding… friendly, courteous and helpful! But the price was outrageous for a tiny room with no aircon, and after my one request for a quiet room, I had a sleepless night because there was a very loud party right under my window that went into the early hours of the morning!
