I have such mixed reviews for my stay at Native.
Pros:
-Location! I know people think they want to be right in Old Town, but if you want to avoid constant crowds and noise, New Town is actually better. Native is in the heart of New Town, a short walk to Old Town, and less than 10 minutes down to Stockbridge. Location can't be beat.
-The apartments were much bigger than expected. It was great having a real place to stay with a kitchen and laundry.
-The lobby/cafe area was really nice. It was convenient having that on site.
Cons:
-THE DOORS. They were insanely heavy. Not only could you not leave a door open without a doorstop, the constant noise of everyone else's doors was extremely annoying. I couldn't nap without being woken up by doors slamming. Although they weren't bad throughout the night, as soon as people started waking up in the morning, I could no longer sleep as the doors were waking me up.
-My room was right by the stairwell and there was constantly mud in the hallway all around my room because of people using that door.
-As nice as the reception area was, the room could have used some updated. The couch was stained with what is clearly a sex stain and the bathroom was not in good repair.
-I was told I wouldn't have daily cleaning, but I would have one day where my towels were refreshed, given more toilet paper and my trash was changed, but in the four days I stayed there- this never happened which was disappointing.
-Front desk staff felt more like hostel.
