The man staffing the front desk was extremely helpful. He showed us a walking route to explore and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. He was great!

Everything was fine checking in. Got up to our room and there was mould on the ceiling and walls of bathroom. Shower was also dirty. Lifted carpet in the bedroom by bed, window opened fully so was very unsafe especially if you have children. Beds not comfortable, some plug sockets didn’t work and stuff peeling off the ceiling. We went out for an event and came back to the lift smelling very strongly of Gas however staff weren’t concerned as apparently it happened frequently. In the morning we were woken up by two men banging on the door at 7:30 that apparently had the wrong room. On leaving our room to check out the cleaners were already out in the hall with linen and bags scattered in the hall which was a major trip and fire safety hazard.

The property had a nice ambience in the bar / relaxation area, but the room was a bit squeaky and in need of some minor TLC to the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room ambience was managed by a radiator and window - no air conditioning. Overall, it was fair accommodation for what we paid.

2 night stay.
Room was small, sink in the bathroom wouldn’t drain, seals on the shower doors hanging off, due to a colleague error when trying to check in, I was not officially checked in and so they attempted to give my room away, so had a stranger walk into my room on the second day of my stay and made to feel like it was my fault as I had not paid on arrival, yet the colleague who handled my check in did not advise me I had to and told me I was checked in no problem. Would not recommend or stay again.

The property is conveniently located close to Central station, which was a big plus for us. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The Indian restaurant next door was very good and the person in charge (owner or manager) was quite delightful. However, the condition of the room was unspeakably bad. The carpet was missing chunks. The bathroom had mold not only throughout the tub area but even around the sink. Riding the elevator felt like a dare. It creaks like something is going to snap. At one point four passengers got in and it refused to move. A light indicator flashed, showing that we exceeded the threshold for weight, which was over 600kg. I think we were about half that. Two got out and the elevator was happy again. I would definitely not stay there again. I would pony up the extra bucks and choose a better hotel. If I owned that hotel I would never let it degrade to its current state.
