Disliked: Staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
The property has a great location being right next door to Glasgow Queen Street station. And that is where the positives end!
The property is tired but that can be forgiven.
On the morning we arrived we couldn’t get into room which is understandable as we were so early and they were good to keep our bags safe. We were however unable to get even a cup of coffee due to “staffing issues” at 10:30 in the morning! Ridiculous! We didn’t have time to run around elsewhere as were attending an engagement.
Things got worse when we had no hot water. I reported it at 07:30 ish the next morning and didn’t get an apology. I reported it again around 08:15 at desk and no apology. I did get an apology when I mentioned it again when going out around 09:30. On return to the hotel in the afternoon after another family engagement was told we were getting moved - still no apology from the first lady I had seen at the desk.
I understand things go wrong but customer service goes a long way and there are ways to deal with things. We won’t be staying there again….simply overpriced for the standard of accommodation which isn’t outweighed by the convenience of the location.
