Super friendly, centrally located, no frills hotel
Great central location. Less traffic than farther up on Orchard. Three subway lines nearby. This is the best no frills hotel I've stayed at. Rooms are very clean, staff are actually engaged and showed that they cared (thank you Amira, Nuar, Shumei, and many more of you). The rooms are definitely small but comfortable enough for one person of regular build

Location was great, right next to bencoolen stop on the downtown line which was really handy but also an easy 20 or so minute walk to the centre if preferred. Good amenities nearby. Was happy with room - compact but fine for me as solo traveller. Room seemed to have no sound insulation, my sleep was disturbed multiple times from the noise. Also was going to add on breakfast for some days but the hotel doesn't have its own space you just have a discount to the next door cafe if you pre-book so wasn't worth it for me and I just went elsewhere.

Centrally located hotel with easy access to public transport. The rooms are bit too small. However, amenities are good and all of the staff was exceptional. We had a late night flight and had checked out in the morning and left the luggage at the hotel. One of the receptionists, Yash, was kind enough to provide us a room to shower and change when we went back to pick up the luggage. Much appreciated gesture.

Not what I expected
I expected a little more for a superior balcony room. The balcony was nice but there was hardly space to put your stuff or hang clothes. Also there was a lot of noice after midnight and during the early morning children running and screaming in the hallway.

Staff are A+! It's just very noisy with thin walls, with slow AC; but they did provide a fan. Skip the breakfast next door, too greasy, loud, dark room.

Hotel is strategically located outside Bencoolen MRT Exit B. With easy access to MRT and buses as well. One may also walked to other stations such as Bras Basah and Dhoby Ghout. It is also within 5mins walk to National Museum of Singapore. Staffs are friendly. Thank you, David and Leo who attended to my needs and request during my visits. There's a 7-Eleven and Cheers just opposite the hotel. And you can walk to Toastbox and Yakun as well for typical Singaporean breakfast. There's also other eateries nearby like mookata and Taiwanese food and Japanese food (look up Lazada One). The room itself is clean and spacious enough for me. I came slightly earlier than check-in time and luckily enough they have a room available for me to check in early so I can rest after long hours of travelling. You may borrow an umbrella from the hotel with a deposit of SGD10. And you can leave your luggage with the hotel after check out so you can roam easy before your flight. They also offered complimentary short use of a room when you collect your luggage should you need to freshen up. It is about 30mins I think. But it is definitely much appreciated! All in all, had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back to stay again. Cheers and thank you, team! =)

Hotel is like a 30 sec walk to two entrances to the subway (one with an escalator vs steps) and a food court around the corner as well as a lot of other food courts a few min walk further. There's a small coffee shop next door and a small more restaurant style one next to it. Convenience is key as the hotel is like 2-3 stops to Chinatown station. Staff were great and importantly airconditioning was strong. The room walls were thin; you can hear the next door room's sounds and conversations as well as all the sounds from the hallway, even from patrons that were loud in their room at end of the hallway. Shower temp was hit and mostly a miss; took 5 mins for water in the morning to get lukewarm and even longer for it to warm up (not even hot); and then it would cycle cool to warm and back during the shower. Rooms were fairly small but I knew that when I booked it so no complaints there. Not much other facilities and laundry is an outside unit and expensive. Price was reasonable given its Singapore and really its the location that stands out, although the water temp and noise issue becomes problematic if you are staying more than a couple of nights which we were.

Decent for solo travellers for a couple days
Pros: 1. Good location: Right near MRT and bus station 2. Amazing shower: Clean, hot and powerful! 3. Good daily cleaning of the room Cons: 1. Noise issue: you can hear the noise from the other rooms, not just the ones either side of your room but also from rooms down the corridor, it was disturbing even with ear plugs in. Guests using hair dryers, showers and toilets throughout the night could be clearly heard. 2. Room is on the smaller side, as a solo traveller it wasn’t an issue but it would be a struggle to fit a second person.

Good value hotel in great location
Stayed for 2 nights. Hotel is in a great location opposite the Bencoolen MTR station and an easy walk to the Bugis shopping center. Staff were all very friendly. Check in process was quick. Rooms are compact but well set out so it doesn’t feel cramped. Would definitely stay again.
