Staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. Location is great and there are tons of dining options in the area. The beach is a stones throw away and there is a bike rental spot right across the street. Would def recommend. Only complaint is the room smelled a little like bleach, which is a good sign they cleaned it but it was definitely on the stronger side. Other than that it was a great stay.

Excellent location, clean and friendly
Best Western Plus Sands was exactly what we wanted for our short weekend trip to Vancouver. The easy walking distance to Stanley Park, including the wonderful Second Beach public pool, was just what we needed. The front desk staff were so helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Though simple, the small balcony gave us the outside space to enjoy a pizza from the store across the street and watch the sunset. I would recommend the 5th floor balcony rooms for sure.
