A lovely building. There were lots of stairs to contend with. Older people than us must struggle. However staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts good . Meals were very good
A bit of a mixed review. Room was large with good sized bathroom but was outdated and in need of some repair. Also quite stuffy with windows unable to be opened fully. Plenty of parking available and a local bus just metres away. A nice bar and the beds were comfortable
The staff at the front desk were kind and accommodating… helping us check in earlier after a long flight. Wonderful spacious room and services. Fantastic deal
Hotel lovely with amazing, attentive staff. Free parking, lovely bar and restaurant area. Room was amazing as had small outside patio and 2 levels with seperate bedroom upstairs. Just a short bus ride into edinburgh centre.
It was cute, quaint, picturesque, and smelled nice. The staff were wonderful, especially the guy at the front desk. He made me laugh a lot and he was fun to talk to. It was a super welcoming and safe feeling place. The view of Edinburgh was also very pretty. And they gave me shortbread cookies several times. And they had a hotel cat that I got to pet, it was adorable. Loved it ❤️
We booked a superior room and what we were given was not broken mirror wardrobe doors peeling wallpaper burst mattress view off the bins we arrived half an hour early and got some lunch while we waited for our 3pm check in we got 2 steak sandwiches and 2 bowls off soup off the lite lunch menu was stated soup and sandwich deal £11 then was told steak sandwich wasn't in the deal which instead off £22 cost us £38 food was lovely and waitress couldn't do enough then we were told our room was t ready so they were giving us another room and that's where the disappointment started
The hotel is currently being refurbished, this was not made to us at time of booking, which was disappointing. The room was large, with a modernish bathroom. While the room was clean, the carpet was in a very poor state and the curtains were ripped. The bed was uncomfortable as were the pillows! The price that we paid certainly did not reflect on the poor state of the furnishings.

The bedroom was noisy due to poor condition of the window. The shower was really small. The carpets are thread bare. Lack of amenities. Breakfast was good. Location is a short Uber ride or a 40 minute walk.
It was good, not far from the center and comfortable.
They were so strict for checkin, happened 3 pm exactly although we arrived 1 pm. I feel they could be more helpful for those situations to look or prioritise the room to be ready, but they didn't.
Also the room has no view at all, very bad view.
The good thing was cleaness of the room and the bed was comfortable. The bus station is so close also.

Don't waste your money!
~£150/night for a dated, shabby (without the chic),small attic room. The 'shower' was more of a dribble!
Poor food service, over-priced bad beer selection. Watch out for the automatic 10% service charge on the food bill too!

I like the location and ease of bus routes into the city centre. Staff were great but the hotel was a bit tired looking and in need of a makeover.
