The hotel was more interested in upselling at check in, room was cold, dirty, dated, no hot water, access panels in bathroom would not close, cold shower I mean freezing, shower head would not stay up in holder so fell forward and sprayed onto wall (this was actually a good tv ing as it stopped you being sprayed with ice cold water. Communal areas corridors etc tired, needed re decoration and new floor coverings (or at least an attempt to clean stained and marked carpets). Not nice to be paying good money not to have basics like hot water etc. won’t be back, in fact a refund or partial refund would be nice, but I still wouldn’t come back. I’m originally from Edinburgh back visiting, it used to be a quality hotel, but whatever rating they are trading at now needs to be revised as this hotel is poor and being miss sold to customers. Very disappointed.

The property is seriously overpriced with a bit of issues roaming around the building being very old, such as sound barriers etc However the staff was very welcoming, the cleanliness level was great and it def was very safe
