It deserves points for being one of best located in the centre for tourist travel in KL for shopping and enjoying food. Friendly and responsive service from the hotel staffs also adds to their charm.

What a great location! Shopping malls, food, train, hop on hop off starting station. And did I mention food - Jalan Alor, Damascus… The room is smallish, lacks places to keep your belongings but we’re talking trade offs here for a reasonably priced, clean, modern hotel in this location. Traffic can be crazy. Staff was great. Breakfast was good with good variety.

Our stay at The Journal Kuala Lumpur was a truly pleasant experience. The staff were incredibly courteous and always eager to assist, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The room was clean, functional, and equipped with all the necessary amenities expected from a hotel of this standard. The hotel’s location is another standout feature—it’s centrally located and just a short walk from a fantastic shopping mall, making it perfect for both leisure and convenience. The neighborhood also offers plenty of dining options, giving guests the chance to explore local and international cuisine with ease. Breakfast at the hotel was varied and satisfying, offering a decent range of options to start the day right. Considering the excellent location, the quality of service, and the amenities provided, we found it to be fantastic value for money. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur!

My stay here was perfect. I got a king room which was immaculately clean. The rain fall shower head in the ceiling was luxurious and the towels were fluffy. If I had to find a complaint it would be the drinks in the minibar are all low or no sugar. Catching a cab is easy out front, there is plenty of food and shopping within walking distance as well. 10/10 would recommend coming here. If I find myself in KL again I already know where I am staying.
