The hotel check in was smooth and easy. There was very little parking because there was a wedding party the night we stayed. We waited 15 minutes at the restaurant before even being acknowledged. The food was good but the wait staff was so sparse it was hard to get our drinks filled. Our room window wouldn’t stay open but the beds were very comfortable. There was a bar on the property and they had some pretty neat antiques for decoration. There were some wild horses roaming the property in the morning. I would stay here again. Just know it is older and if you expect that, you will be fine.

A bit over priced for the condition of the hotel.
Very "rustic". For the price, it needs to be fixed up. But it was clean and the restaurant and bar were great. Food was also really good.

Chalet feel. Beautiful setting and great getaway from heat in summer. Is under a little renovation but nothing disturbing to our stay. Very pet friendly. Room was good. Comfortable bed. Will recommend to friends.

The hotel is very old and is in urgent need of renovation. A few buckets of paint could do wonders. The rooms on the upper floors are only accessible by stairs. Very difficult and confusing to find your way, especially if there should be an emergency. Staff was helpful and nice. The area is beautiful.

Nice getaway in the montains. You can tell that is an older property as everything is a bit run down, but they are renovating. The restaurant on site is okay, but there are no other options . We had dinner and breakfast there. The dinner was okay, but breakfast was not. The eggssmelled bad andwe let our server know, he had them remade after we told him i wasnt going to eat anymore. My meal was still on the ticket.

The hotel is old and in need of renovation. I got a balcony room which was on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator. The bed was soft and there were plenty of pillows but it was made in a way I have never seen. There was no fitted sheet, just a flat sheet laid over a mattress pad with a duvet on top. The linens were clean, I just didn't understand why it didn't have a fitted sheet. The other thing was there was no door guard so anyone with a key could walk in on you which happened when housekeeping opened my door at 8:30am when I was still sleeping. On the second evening it took about 5 mins for the shower water to warm up.

The Staff were always helpful and friendly. It is located in a beautiful area and only 35 minutes from Las Vegas Strip. Nice to get away from the triple digit temperatures of downtown Vegas. Every morning wild horses were roaming the property and eating the grass; absolutely beautiful!

It could have been better
I sincerely wish I could give a better rating, The staff was friendly, courteous, and accommodating they truly tried. The outdoor seating (with a truly outstanding mountain view) had ground-strewn cigarette butts, untended weed-infested landscaping, sagging broken outdoor furniture, and worn, threadbare, inadequate number of cushions not protected from the weather (soaking wet from rain). Despite the sign stating the outdoor seating had to be approved by restaurant staff, the area was "take-out only". The food was adequate in flavor, warm to hot, in size, and not overpriced. However, the restaurant was understaffed and disorganized. There is no elevator to the upper floor requiring guests or staff to drag luggage up the beautiful wooden staircase off the well-appointed, soaring ceiled, all-wood rustic lobby. The furniture within the room was plentiful, reflected a hotel style, and was in good working order. It was clean upon arrival, there was, however, no housekeeping service during my stay, and the room showed signs of wear and tear. The water was plentiful and hot as needed. WIFI was adequate for streaming but calls had to be done in the lobby or outdoors.

When this place was built it must have been amazing! It is showing its years, but the view was amazing and the staff was great. The A/C worked all night but it was warmer when we got up than when we went to bed. And the outlets were not consistent - when I plugged in my phone charger it showed charging, but when we got up in the morning it had not charged at all. Had to search for an outlet that would run our coffeemaker. Overall, I would highly recommend the experience.
