Have stayed here before, it is a good option for Victoria and the rooms are clean and updated and the staff efficient and friendly. The only complaint is that the bathroom in this unit and the one we previously stayed in are very old and the facilities do not drain well and just very tired. If that gets fixed someday we would stay again.

This is my favourite hotel in Victoria. Great if you have a dog as there are walking trails and a grass areas right off the lobby. A short walk to the inner harbour area and parliament.

This property is near the Clipper ferry stop, which made it so convenient to drop off our bags after arriving, and pick up our stored bags when it was time to leave. It's also a short walk from Fisherman's Wharf (which was mostly shut down for the off season). Nevertheless, there are still many food options within a few minutes' walk. The condition of the hotel (interior, exterior, common spaces) was very grand, and it was lovely to come back to a roaring fire in the lobby and cold water in the dispensers. I enjoyed a quick exploration of the art and sculptures on display. I didn't try the hotel restaurant, Aura, but saw that it had excellent reviews. The hotel cafe, Duo, had interesting offerings. The pool and gym are a modest size and felt like an afterthought (may not be the best if you're a serious swimmer or workout fiend). I stayed in the old wing (Laurel), which has a very small balcony (enough standing room for 3-4 people) and enjoyed watching the ferries and water taxis going by. The room itself and its amenities were as expected, no complaints. The room has a small dorm-room sized fridge and no microwave, but you can use the microwave next to reception. Overall, I would stay here again. The 20-25 minute walk into downtown Victoria was great exercise, with plenty of interesting sights to look at along the way (harbor, Legislative Assembly, other hotels, restaurants).

Truly a hidden gem. We felt beyond welcomed by the staff not only as soon as we entered the hotel but also as we entered our room. They were checking on us right away to ensure everything was well. We were able to get into our room at 10:00 a.m which we couldn’t believe. We loved how accommodating they were to hold our bags the following day. Wonderful staff and service. The room was very clean. We can’t wait to come back!
