Charming heritage style hotel in the heart of James Bay . Super walkable to Ogden Point or downtown. Pub / restaurant found is delicious and reasonably priced and the friendly staff go out of their way to make sure that everything is to your satisfaction.
Can’t wait to return.

The hotel is in convenient location, staff are friendly and helpful, but room is too small and bad noise-prorected.
What an exceptional stay we had in this very friendly and cosy inn. The excellent customer we received from the staff started from the beginning right till the end. Unbeatable location! I will be booking this inn an again in December.

I was in a petite room so I knew it would be small. The price was good. My only complaint was my bed (maybe other rooms are different), it was super hard and I didn’t sleep well because of that. Would I come back? Yes. I would go for a bet larger room but as I said, I booked it because of the good price. The staff were lovely, the neighborhood was great for walking. I enjoyed local small businesses. The restaurant part of the hotel is good. It caters to an older pallet but there were lots of choices. Again, the hotel is charming and old. It was clean and kept up. Couldn’t be nicer folks running it.
Loved the hotel with it’s rustic charm. It is out of the hustle and bustle of the city as it is located in a quiet neighborhood. Short walk into town and i enjoyed walking through the beautiful fall foliage. Felt I was in a Hallmark Christmas movie. The staff is so friendly. The only downfall was that the shower stall was rather small. Would definitely stay there again if I return to Victoria.
I did not realize exactly how old the hotel was when I booked but I was not disappointed at all. There is so much charm in this place and the rooms have updated furniture so it did not feel like an old rickety hotel. It was very clean aside from a few hairs in the bathroom, and the beds were comfy. Very tall and a little firm. Big space. Check in and check out were a breeze. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs was very good. My only complaint is that from our main floor bathroom (only from the bathroom) you could hear voices from the pub downstairs. It did not resonate into the room though so we slept well.
I got a single bedroom, not too big but cozy n quiet. I’m just next to the lobby/reception area but there wasn’t any noise at night. The bed is comfortable. Love the hotel. 😊😎🏨
A friend and I were in town for a concert - overall, it’s a fine place to stay. Very welcoming and vintage charm, however cleanliness was only so so (some of the towels in particular weren’t very clean). Also no elevators. Other than that, a good stay for a good price.
