Great location. Heated pool was a plus. Plenty of games and books. Quality and cleanliness of linens could be improved. No pot holders and limited kitchen supplies made cooking at home challenging. Beach chairs provided were broken.

Great home and close to the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at the sweet retreat cottage. The beach access is right across the street which was a blessing considering there is not much parking. The property was clean and had almost everything we needed. The only suggestions I would give would be to have more bath rags for 2 bathrooms there was only 4 for the week. A family of 5 and 7 nights made for a lot of washing to keep clean rags. And the grill needs to be looked at or replaced it never got over 200 degrees so cooking burger and hot dogs took over 30 mins. After the initial cooking we didn’t even want to try again. We would recommended this house to anyone and will be booking it again!

Great Outdoor Space

We enjoyed the outdoor space (pool, lighting and plantings). There were a few maintenance issues that the property management company took care of immediately. House was clean and there were plenty of towels. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils but just keep in mind that there is nothing extra in the kitchen so bring what you need. You will need to rent or bring beach chairs & cart. I would stay here again.

Perfect location!

This property is absolutely perfect for a small family with a focus on hitting the beach. It’s literally across the street from the beach access point.; 3 minute (easy) walk. The pool is perfect for late afternoon cool-down with the kiddos. We did not head to the downtown strip area, so cannot comment on that. But for a long weekend of beach-only time and dine-in at home, this place was seriously as good as it gets.

Functional, clean property that is well situated on Anna Maria Island. We enjoyed the walking distance to the beach to enjoy the sunsets and collect sea shells. The pool was a big plus with the no swim advisories at the beaches.

This yellow cottage was perfect for our family of 6 adults. The lush and private pool area was fabulous! There are some things that need to be repaired and items added to the kitchen, but overall it was a fabulous three days at Sweet Retreat.
