It’s a good hotel in a noisy area. There is an old style pub right behind the place where beer and basic menu items are featured. The huge negative is that there are no black out curtains and the shades let in all the street lights including the parking lot light level with the window. Without any exaggeration I could not have imagined a more brutal a place to sleep in. My whole next day was a daze due to lack of sleep.

Check in was okay. I asked if i could upgrade to which answer was straight no as hotel was fully booked. After reaching the room I looked for bottle of water as I was thirsty after driving 350 kilometres. I called and asked front desk to which I was advised that they don’t offer complimentary water and it would cost me $3.50 per bottle. I was very surprised to hear that. I have never been told that at a hotel i paid $376 a night. I asked for 2 bottles of water to which I was advised it would be 10 minutes. After waiting for good half hour I called front desk again enquiring about my request and I was told they only have 1 employee working and she is on her break for another 10 minutes. I was in shock at this point. I myself went down to front desk and collected water myself. It didn’t felt like I was staying at Hyatt. It’s seems more like 3 star hotel. I will think twice about booking this hotel again.

Overall a very nice hotel to stay at. The room was spacious and comfortable. A little noisy during the night, our room had a city view and I could hear noise of traffic and some construction. I had some issues with the bathroom door which wouldn’t stay shut. The parking was a paid one (12$/night) and if you become a member they reduced it to 6$/night. A little wierd way of getting inside the parking, as you had to drive on the left lane to enter the parking. The hostess for the breakfast buffet (named Saghi) was really sweet and helpful! Breakfast was good! Overall, I recommend Hyatt place for a stay in Kelowna!
