The Space:
One bedroom apartment is carpeted throughout and features wall-mounted reverse cycle air-con in the living room, a ‘Smart’ TV with Netflix, a beautiful leather sofa and a balcony. There’s a dining table for 4 people which doubles as a work space, while the kitchen comes with a large ‘serving hatch’ window overlooking the living/dining area, a double sink, Electric cooktop, microwave oven, good sized fridge and glass bricks to increase the natural light.
The bedroom offers a king size bed, mirrored wardrobes and block-out curtains to control the light flow for a good sleep-in.
The bathroom has a combined bath/shower with frameless glass screen, as well as a washing machine and separate dryer, with more glass bricks providing natural light.
The apartment comes with parking, accessible with garage remote.
The Neighborhood:
Barkly Apartments is in heart of buzzy St Kilda, just a short walk to the beach, Luna Park, St Kilda Botanical Gardens, Acland Street shops, eateries and bars.
Right across the road you’ll find the Acland Court Shopping Centre, with a Coles supermarket, Priceline Pharmacy, Celebrations bottle shop and a diverse selection of other retails stores.
The St Kilda Esplanade Market takes place every Sunday, a renowned art and craft haven with a great range of original creations.
Just a little further away, the famous Chapel Street/Toorak Road shopping precinct is less than 10 minutes by car (or 22 minutes on a tram), while the CBD (Downtown) is 20 minutes away by car.
Getting Around:
Although the apartment comes with parking, there are convenient public transport options just a stroll away, providing Melbourne’s iconic tram services into the CBD (Downtown) as well as Chapel Street shops and Richmond’s Bridge Road for Epworth Hospital and a range of outlet stores.
Other Things to Note:
* Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process.
* An additional $40 will be charged to your total if a check-in happens after 8 pm, and we require your arrival time as the Concierge does not live on site.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
* If you are eligible for a full refund as per our cancellation policy, a processing fee of $50 still applies.
* After check-in, if you choose to shorten your stay, you will receive a 50% refund of the unused nights of your booking.
* Please note that this property has been specifically catered for short-term rentals and is not a hotel.
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm – 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on the circumstances.
