Plus side: very close to Monash university. Quiet at night. Minuses: Many. - Heavy stench of cigarette smoke. I stayed one night but couldn't cope longer and had to move. The shirt I left out of the suitcase on the one night i stayed there still reeked of cigarettes after I'd moved to a new place. - not cleaned well. A used towel from a previous guest was still on towel rack in one bathroom. A previous guest (an overseas student evidently) had left a letter from the university and passport photos on a shelf - still there. - no soap at basins for hand-washing: need to go to shower to wash hands. - Host refused refund for remaining three nights. - over-priced at nearly $200/night for a clearly substandard place. I moved to a motel that was straight out of the 1970s but was clean and fresh and significantly cheaper. I still think they should have refunded my fee. I did not "cancel", but was forced to move because it was revolting. I strongly recommend not staying here.
