This should have been stated as a hotel and studio clearly. There were several residents and it seemed more like an apartment building. The room was supposed to be non-smoking and smelled strongly of nicotine. The area outside was not safe.

I booked a stay here for a friend. They gave him a room with no air, no phone, no tv. I asked all week for the air conditioner to be fixed as it was 95 degrees in San Diego. They did not help him and treated him poorly.

There were homeless people camped across the street. That's going to happen in downtown San Diego. The most annoying thing happened this morning. A man maintenance man knocked on my door in the morning before it was time to check out. He didn't speak English. He sent a text to the manager. He showed me the text that said there was an "inspection". I told him I'd speak with the manager . What happened was some guy on my floor had his bike stolen. The "inspection" was 2 maintenance guys searching every room on the floor for the stolen bike. I've about given up on Motel 6.

Photos are very deceptive. No sofa chairs in room. Property looks very clean and nice in photos but there is a huge transient population all around building and staying in property. Definitely needs security 24 hours. Parking is bad. You get an assigned space and then come back and your spot is gone. Huge hassle to deal with staff not resolving issues. Rooms are extremely small and no storage area. Rooms and building smell bad like urine and feces. Do not stay here I will never stay here again.

Horrible!!!!
Horrible! The area was overrun with homeless people. Directly outside, there were tents set up along the sidewalk, people sleeping on the street, and mentally unstable people constantly yelling. The same homless people outside were allowed access to the premises. They were using the 1 microwave located in the lobby. They were also using the elevators and allowed to roam through all 4 floors of the premises. The room was not clean. It smelled of mildew and cigarettes. The linens were not fresh and had cigarette burns in them. The toilet had obvious stains on the tank that could have easily come off if it were actually wiped down. The shower/bathtub had hair, stains, and debris. Overall, this is and unsafe and unsanitary location. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
