Dog Beach Trip
We took our dogs to the beach for the first time. Ocean Villa Inn provides a good service, giving access, to dog (pet) owners, to the dog Mecca. Our dogs had so much fun, they've been asleep for 2 days since.

Not a top level stay
The guy who checked me in was kind but the hotel was pretty old and run down. The attendant told me he was going to waive the parking fee but I don’t know if there actually was one. He then told me we could park anywhere but unfortunately there were absolutely no parking spots available on the property. We got in around midnight and had to drive off the property to see if we could park in the surrounding community but it didn’t feel completely safe and I had my daughter with me. So we went back and I found a handicap parking spot and took the risk assuming and praying someone with an actual disability wasn’t going to check into this place between midnight and 6 (when we left). The rooms were pretty old and the heating/cooling box didn’t work very well either. It dis serve it’s purpose and we had a bed for the evening.

I honestly can’t believe this is on Expedia.. I didn’t think that they would host a slum motel, with expensive parking cause they can .. this was a $40 motel.. nowhere near worth $175 I guess all other reviewers were paid or didn’t pay their hard earned $ to stay here

With the hotel parking the only option charging to park felt like a rip off. The lot is small the spaces are super tight. The rooms are large we had a “signed” which was a futon . The beds where soft and con-caved and worn out. you could fell the springs , bed lines clean bit the pillows smelled like musty body odor. Bath towels are worn and roughy. The bath room grout was moldy and the shower curtain was dirty and didn’t fit the resulting the bathroom floor to be flooded. The patio opened to a nice dog area. That area was well maintained and protected, lots of dog bags and cans, the patio was nice but the 2nd floor kept dripping on patio so the ground was always wet and slippery. The honest truth is it’s great if you have dogs but it it way over priced for the actual hotel that is need of a makeover and upgrade. The staff at check in somewhat rude and disrespectful when I asked about area restaurants. We arrived about 30 minutes before the 4 pm check in and responded to a text they sent asking about early check in. I was told we could wait in the lobby. We passed and glad we did . There is no real lobby just an area with a couple of hard molded chairs. If there was an ice machine I didn’t find it, but the staff did not explain anything about the hotel except the pool was open until 10 pm . And parking is open with one space per room $15.00 per night.

A place for dogs
This hotel was ideal for taking your dog along for the trip. Our room opened up to an enclosed dog run with AstroTurf for dogs to run and go to the bathroom. It was cleaned daily for sanitary reasons. The property was literally next to a beach called Dog Beach dedicated to dogs. It was a great place for the dogs to run, play, and socialize. My dog had so much fun. While the hotel was not so nice, the location and the incredible number of dog friendly restaurants was fantastic. I recommend it.

Conveniently located to OB restaurants. Fridge door was off its hinges but staff replaced it immediately when brought to their attention. Towels very THIN! Wear socks as floors are dirty.

Location good, staff were great. Property could be really charming but very outdated. AC was so loud, ceiling fan made clicking noise, bathroom was YUCK. Rusted out old fixtures no glass globe on ceiling light. people who are saying wonderful I am confused. Starting to question those on Hotels.com. This is decent but NOT wonderful.

This hotel was a terrific option for our family of four with two beds plus a futon. The location is right on the beach and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It’s also a short Uber ride to Sea World. I would highly recommend it!
