The good - the beds were comfortable, the staff were pleasant, the location was good. The bad - the room and amenities were in unacceptably poor condition. There was no remote for the tv, so changing channels and adjusting volume meant getting up and using the button on the back of the tv. There was no remote for the air conditioner, so turning it on meant standing on the corner of the bed to reach the on/off button. The air that blew out of the air conditioner smelt so terrible that we immediately turned it off for fear that we would end up sick from the clearly dirty unit. The small fridge buzzed, hummed and made odd clicking noises throughout the night that disturbed people’s sleep. One of the window blinds was shredded on one side and would partially retract up whenever it was closed which meant that we got to wake up with the sun each morning as it flooded into the room. The room was generally run down with a couple of stain marks on the carpet, chipped paintwork and needing a deep clean. The hotel also seemed understaffed. There was quite a queue and wait to check in. I also found the counter unattended when needing assistance the second day because my room key would not work. A budget hotel with small clean rooms and basic amenities in good working order is perfectly acceptable. What we paid for did not meet that standard.

Very dated. Property not maintained well. The painting is peeling off the walls in the room and broken toilet paper roll holder. Also tiles are falling off the walls in the corridors. Breakfast was average and often running out of items .

I booked this property, and it was not what it advertised it to be. It was supposed to comfortably sleep 3 adults but barely had room for one. The bathroom was only separated on one side by a curtain and the other side was the front door. No floor mat supplied and the towel rack was on the side where the curtain ended making whoever was in the rest of the tiny room able to see you. The 3rd bed was a bunk bed over the main bed and that wasn't even made. We had to navigate that ourselves. This hotel was fully booked, subpar breakfast facilities, and lacked the staff it needed for a busy weekend. I had a medical emergency, so I had to leave early. When I asked for a refund on that one day as I had to leave, they said they couldn't help as it was booked through Last minute. This was not true. Poor communication, subpar facilities , and under no circumstances should they have said that 3 adults could fit in that room and to add insult to injury the hotel charged me $240 a night.

When I read the reviews I was honestly almost ready to cancel because I was so scared they were right. Well, I can tell you that I have no idea what the reviews were on about because even as a professional cleaner, I was happy with my stay. I stayed in a room for a few nights as I had a concert in the QBA nearby. Very short distance to walk to the arenas and the train station and nearby shops - location is super convenient. Check in was easy and there is always someone at the desk if you have issues. The room was perfect - clean, no smell, both elevators worked, there was frequent housekeeping. Yes, the bathroom and toilet is a little small but the room is still bigger than one I shared with three other people before. In Amsterdam. Bed was clean, really appreciated the kettle and small fridge too. I would only add a lamp to the room as the one near the bed didn’t work and it’s a bit inconvenient to only have all the lights on or nothing. I would honestly stay here again and recommend it to the others if you have activities in the area to attend!

Great location to the stadiums at a reasonable price. Good dining options within walking distance. Room could have been a bit cleaner, there were clumps of black hair in the beds and I felt very itchy as soon as i got into the bed.

It is fine for what it was. I would not stay at the Ibis Budget Sydney Olympic Park again. The breakfast was ok. I noticed black Mold in the corner of the room behind the door. The cleanliness of the room was poor.

Being coeliac I contacted hotel prior to stay and advised this is accommodated in their breakfast but it is not and after being told cereal was GF I was violently ill. I told reception staff who responded with the staff member is new and didn’t know…. No offer of a refund for breakfast which is very poor
