It is close to the Birdrock commercial area where we tried the highly regarded Wayfarer Bread, the Bird Rock Coffee Roaster shop, and an Italian restaurant. It was a quick drive to Harry’s for breakfast in La Jolla and discovered they have a parking lot behind the restaurant. Parking at the hotel was plentiful and at no cost, such a plus in San Diego. The hotel was quiet, though quite full.

It was a Decent stay. I wouldn't say this is a hotel. This is definitely a motel. But if you must have parking this is good spot. Close to the city and airport.

This Place is a Gem
The Sands of La Jolla was great - the bed was very comfy and the room ver clean. It was the perfect size. Water pressure in the shower was great. Staff very friendly and helpful.
