Left a Bit to the Imagination

Whilst the location in Pimlico makes it ideal for visiting attractions such as Battersea Power Station, the room left a bit to the imagination, with the lack of proper heating and working television.

Easy access and affordable price but overatted whatsoever. The property condition was poor with insulation at the walls exposed and mouldy smell. The bed's springs were noticeable when lying down. Mattresses, pillows and bedsheets were poorly cleaned with stains and a noticeable smell of use. The bathroom's vent would make noise even with the lights off. The service was okay, but not particularly helpful or polite. No breakfast option. It's was okayish for a night stay but wouldn't recommend for more.

If you are thinking of booking this hotel, please reconsider sleeping on the street! I just came back after spending my last 3 days there, and it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in - I have stayed in many, many, many cheap hotels and hostels in the past, and have never experienced something similar. In short, it was absolutely appalling. Rude and careless staff, no heating in the room until very late and only after complaining, broken furniture, rusty and mouldy bathroom, old and stained sheets and pillows, dirty floor, bugs in bed, and they decided to do building works in my room while I was away working in London! They left my room open and the contractors were inside, the dust was everywhere including my personal belongings! Never ever again, this place is not safe for both health and safety reasons. I have documented everything and I'll report it to the relevant authorities.

Good price. Shame there was no TVs in any of the rooms, despite the website saying every room was equipped with a TV. It meant my partner stayed in and had to read a book!! They provided enough tea/coffee for 2 cups, a spoon wouldn't hurt to stir the drinks!!

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at the radiator doesn’t work the toilets are very small tv doesn’t work at all wires hanging the walls are paper thin you could hear everything and even the people next to us the kettle was dirty gave us 1 towel for 2 people which doesn’t make sense since we got a room for 2 the beds were like gym mats pillows were small and uncomfortable stain on one of the walls maybe even 2 the sheets weren’t cleaned well and it was impossible To sleep from all the noise and we could here the guests from the other the rooms the beds were cricking all night

Extremely noisy staff late at night into the early hours and being woken again by noisy staff rising for work slamming doors being verbally noisey and giving no consideration that guests would most likely still be trying to sleep Dangerous electric wiring protruding from the wall into the hair dryer Wafer thin mattress offering little support or comfort Generally very dingy and rundown premises Shower not working properly

Not expecting much for that price in central London...But, the room stunk of mould / mildew. Mattress was extremely flimsy and bed was a cheap flimsy spring bed. Lots of noise and slamming doors throughout the night. Staff were ok to be fair.

Great location, but hotel is quite rundown and there’s a smell of damp in the air. WiFi is an extra daily charge even though it’s advertised as WiFi included. Having said that, the room was fairly clean, but could do with a dehumidifier and a lick of paint.

Basement Room: Friendly Staff, Poor Conditions

I recently stayed in a double room located in the basement, which unfortunately came with several drawbacks. The most pressing issue was the complete lack of network coverage—only emergency calls were possible. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi signal was inconsistent, constantly going on and off in that area. While the room was spacious, it had a noticeable smell of mould, and there were visible patches of mould on the walls, which made the stay uncomfortable. Additionally, the room lacked a desk or table, making it impossible to catch up on work, especially with the poor connection. The mattress was another downside—it was so thin that I could feel the springs, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I believe it’s time for the property to replace it. On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and the place appeared clean overall. However, the building itself is very old and would benefit from significant updates. Unfortunately, despite the affordable price, I wouldn’t book this room again due to the issues mentioned above.

Very disappointed with the facilities, very run down and dirty TL:DR: Do not stay here! Here are my highlights: 1. My bed sheets were stained, really stained. I slept in my clothes! 2. The TV did not work (not connected and no remote) 3. The room was cold, the radiator did not work and the widow directly over the bed was draughty. There was a oil filled radiator which did warm up eventually but had to be plugged in directly next to the bed (due to the location of the only power socket that the lead would reach) and I worried all night that the bed sheets might catch fire. 4. The mirror was smeared with ‘something’ 5. The hairdryer was wired into the wall badly, the live wires were exposed and dangerous 6. Four coat hangers, three broken and useless, hanging on a rail if needed 7. One towel. No shower gel or shampoo. Just a tiny circle of hand soap. 8. The light switch above the bed did not work. Main light switch plunged the room into total darkness (this switch was nowhere near the bed). Thank god for the torch on my phone so I could navigate the room and avoid burning myself on the portable radiator 9. Weird shaped room - long but only as wide as the bed - decorated like it was last renovated 40 years ago and lived in by students who like to party 10. Walls so thin you’ll be able to hear everything (I mean everything) happening in your neighbour’s rooms. I tried to spend as little time in the room as possible and one night here was one too many
