As usual my stay at the Sanderson was amazing. The staff at the long bar especially are so friendly and personable. Check in and check out was quick and easy. The rooms are always beautifully clean. As a solo female traveller I always feel incredibly safe at the Sanderson and I will continue to stay here whenever I am in London.

A good place to stay, close to Oxford Street.
A Good experience, which started slowly due to being given the wrong room number, but once we got past this, it got progressively better. An interesting and quirky room layout, but with everything you need. Although you could do with somewhere to hang your towel whilst having a shower! Breakfast, which was included, and was very good, with plenty of choice and I'd recommend the full English breakfast! Generally a good stay.

The minimalist approach to a room worked 20 years ago, but not today. The bathroom vanity, sink and mirror are just not functional. Same with the shower. I got a call one and a half hours before my checkout asking me if I need help with my luggage. Huh?! Firstly, if you noticed when I checked in I could handle my small roller bag myself. Second, if you were wondering when I was checking out, you could just ask me. Third, you could’ve waited until closer to the checkout time as I was still sleeping as I was still on New York time. Fourth, If you really needed to turn the room over quickly you could’ve started out by saying I’m sorry to bother you but just a reminder checkout is at noon and wondering if you would need any help with your luggage. Fifth, The best option would be to call at 12:05 if I was not out of my room yet and simply ask, sir, do you need help with your luggage? then I would get the hint that it was past checkout time and I need to be out of the room. Simply the rudest phone call I’ve ever gotten staying at a hotel. Sorry Sanderson I’ll come back when your renovations are over

Check in very slow as attendant was new employee on her own as the experienced agent kept stepping away. Had a problem taking a cc deposit then getting my room key ready. She really should not have been left on her own. On 2 of the 5 mornings despite the privacy sign outside the cleaner without knocking opening our door then apologies as she left.i asked for room away from lift and room was behind d lift which was fine but it was right next door to cleaner storage area so we were awoken early every morning as they went back and forth to this storage area. Finally on last there there was event taking place in room near reception (pool table room) - as a result there was lot of voice noise from 8am I assume outside entrance to hotel as attendees arrived and chatted
