Great location. Great place to stay if just need somewhere to sleep and shower. Room was not great - tiny and couple lights and outlets not working but staff were fantastic. Helpful and friendly
I was unpleasantly surprised there was no air conditioning service in my room.

Stayed one night at the California for convenience as had an early Eurostar to Paris.
In my view it is overpriced but just needed a bed.
Ideal for transport links but wouldn't pick to stay for a longer break.
Couldn't fault the members of staff all very helpful.
Construction ongoing outside the hotel but wasn't a problem and even though near Kings Cross relatively peaceful at night.
Rooms are small, hot and loud (construction going on just outside our window) and beds are not very comfortable. But it was inexpensive so we got what we were looking for.
Wonderful Cleene convenient to Saint Pancras. Everything we could’ve asked for. Chinese room small common balcony off the room. No AC so be careful in summer, but couldn’t recommend more highly nice restaurant friendly staff great value.
The people at the front desk were great and very helpful, when we got there, there were two little packets of instant coffee in our room, but we never did get anymore, and we were there for three nights. The hotel was really close to the metro and we liked that a lot. The room was very small but it was clean.
I was looking for a simple, inexpensive room for one person for a brief transit to the Eurostar, and this was perfect. Small basement room was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Front staff was kind and helpful. Reception was open 24 hours. Location for St Pancras station could not be better.

We only stayed for a night. We were a family of 4 and had a large room with lots of space! The only problem was our bathroom door was completely see-through. We had to hang a towel up for privacy and it was still awkward. Although the rooms were large, the hallways and stairwell were pretty narrow and there were no elevators for our luggage. Place is quiet and close to a number of restaurants and conveniently located across Kings Cross station.
The room was clean but so small there was no where to put my large backpack....but my problem was the noise. There is street noise that makes keeping the window closed so the room got hot and the trains running underneath the building but worse was the noise inside. Paper-thin walls so you hear other guests talking, their tvs and snoring. Despite wearing ear plugs, other people's plumbing (flushing toilets) is also loud and woke me up. The halls are tiny with fire doors that other guests repeatedly slam when going back and forth to visit each other.
