We stayed at the President Hotel whilst our son had a procudure at Great Ormond Street. The location for this was on point, a two minute walk. Also for us the park was very close by which gives you a break from the busy armosphere of London. We explored a little and the location was good for this also. The hotel its self is huge, I was suprised when we arrived as it has the feel of more than a 3 star downstairs, its more professional than personal. I didnt feel like it was a warm reception, more of a robotical one. Not a big deal, just I prefer warm and friendly. Our room was clean and tidy, small but adequate, nice bathrooms, showers unfortunately run hot and cold all the time no matter what you do. The hair wash, body wash and hand soap provided was of good quality and smelt delicious. The room itself was a bit tatty and run down but the bedding and pillows were some of the best Ive seen. Very comfy and clean. We had a good stay but just missed the personal touch, the friendly vibe if you like. Small things like we booked a room with a fridge, there wasnt a fridge, they brought one up but you then couldnt use the dresser. There was only two cups for drinks, two towels, yet there was three of us. The rooms were also very warm, its September and was around 17 outside during the day, cooler at night but very warm still and you cannot leave the window open all night as it is so so noisy. All in all we had a good stay, just a bit of honest feedback.

We did not like the bed at all. We are not big people and we were cramped. You could not sit on the bed without slipping off. The room was very hot and we often slept with the windows open. When we did that the noise kept me awake. Not a great experience! In regards to the breakfast buffet, even though there was variety, it was the same thing every day. It would have been nice to change it up ever so slightly

PROS centrally located. Even with the Tube Strike. We were able to take local buses to many tourist attractions. The staff were great. Rooms are very clean. CONS no Air Conditioning in the rooms. Even in September the window had to be opened to move the stuffy stagnant air in our hotel room. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the hotel room. Trying local food is a must on vacay. However we couldn't bring left overs back because there's no microwave or refrigerator in the hotel room.

My room was on the 1st floor, and my view was a terrace with a construction site. It was noisy and uncomfortable to be close to a construction like that. However my room was clean. Walkable to every central attraction points.

We had a fantastic time at the President Hotel. It is in the center of everything for our family and also pretty quiet. We will definitely come back.

Nice enough hotel

Nice enough hotel in a very good location for all public transport links. Good size restaurant so no queueing for breakfast which was plentiful and well laid out. There’s a hospital nearby so sirens are regular if you are the street side. There’s no AC so sleeping with the window option comes with consequences. The quilt we had smelled and had stains on it but given how warm it was we only used the quilt cover anyway.

Hotel was extremely noisy, not just outside but also the walls were very thin and you could hear a lot from the other rooms. We had an issue with breakfast which the staff were extremely reluctant to sort, thankfully Expedia was keen to help.
