The property was a short bus ride (68) from Euston station. It is convenient for Russell Square Underground. We had buffet breakfast, £15 which was excellent. Check in was not brilliant, long queues and not enough staff.

It was arranged with staff for a surprise to be put in our room on arrival for my husband and it wasn’t done and my Emails were since ignored since 18th. Also we had dinner on the 2nd night in the restaurant and they charged us for a cocktail we never had becuase they ran out of ingredients. Food was not the best and very cold in the restaurant. Rest of the time was perfect. Shame the staff and food let it down.

The service and staff were excellent so welcoming and polite. The room was of a very high standard with the only draw back being no air conditioning which made the temperature at night difficult to manage but apart from that we really felt relaxed and had a fantastic time thank you

Location was exellent. Check-in was very smooth, and I found a letter saying I was "guest of the day", and they gave yammy macaron and extended checking out time! I enjoyed staying here.

Hotel is lovely, but our room had no air conditioning, so our room was always hot. All we had was a small fan. No fridge in the room either so couldn’t even chill a bottle of water

Affordable luxury in Central London
An oasis of calm and luxury after a busy day in London sightseeing. Located very conveniently a short walk from Russel Square underground. The staff and facilities are excellent nothing is too much trouble when you need help or advice. I found the breakfast to be sumptuous, well cooked with lots of choice. The room was very clean with a TV and drinkmaking facilities. The shower room was spotless.The only criticism is if your room is facing out toward the street then there is a lot of noise from the buildings opposite and in the street. But such is London life. I shall be using this hotel again it was fabulous.

Excellent location
The hotel had the perfect location for walking to any of the usual attractions. If walking is not your thing, Russel Square tube station was literally 2 mins away on the Piccadilly line. The hotel itself was quite impressive. The bar / restaurant was light and airy and the bar tender mixed very good cocktails. The prices were very good too. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel was very clean. We had a standard double and although not huge, fur the time we didn’t in it ie getting ready to go out and sleeping it was fine. The bed was comfortable and the pillows very nice. It was cheap and seemed as though it had been recently refurbished. The room had a hairdryer, room fan (which we needed as the weather was very warm during our 2 night stay). The bathroom has hand soap, shower gel and shampoo. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They also have a luggage hold (free of charge) so once you check out they will store your cases / bags in a locked room. The only downside was our room didn’t over look anything and had scaffolding up outside but as we didn’t spend much time in the room it didn’t really matter. We will definitely stay here again when coming to London.

The President is in an excellent location, just a block from Russell Square Station, half a block from the fantastic Fortitude Bakery and Pret and walking distance to the British Museum and shops, restaurants and sites along Tottenham Court Road. The accommodation was clean and staff friendly. I’ll stay again next trip.

The staff were wonderful, absolutely on point for every question or need they were capable of handling. The room had some issues. No air conditioning was a major problem, as the room never dropped below ~30c. This could have been dealt with, but the fact that the bathroom had no ventilation at all meant that taking a shower meant that you were just hot and sweaty for hours afterwards, and the entire room was humid and hot after a shower. This is a major problem, and will affect my hotel decisions going forward. For an otherwise wonderful hotel, this is disappointing. I would love to visit this hotel again with air conditioning, or at least ventilation in the bathrooms.

The room we were given was on the first floor and we had a lovely view of a dirty and noisy back yard, alot of building work going on which we weren't told about, which started early in the morning
