Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Great location but older
Very nice hotel but as others have pointed out it is getting older. Excellent location and amazing views of the London Eye. Room was comfortable, loved the under floor heating in the bathroom and big king bed.
They did not restock the minibar each day, one of the elevators was always broken and the windows should really be double glazing. I know it would be expensive to replace due to heritage type but really should be upgraded.
Have travelled to London many times. Cannot see myself staying anywhere else. Great combination of old world charm, with modern amenities and exceptional customer service
Complimentary upgrade to river view room on 7th Floor - fabulous views!
Room comfortable and everything just right.
Could become our hotel of choice for Central London!
Wow! What an incredible hotel. I love this place so much. It is so beautiful on the inside. The staff is a 10!! I wish I stayed more than one night. Location to everything was just epic. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.
Good value hotel is a great position that is walkable to Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, Parliament Square and Horse Guards (of course). This was our second time at this hotel (with 5 years between) and it was just as good as the first trip.
We loved this hotel with its traditional charm. The breakfast was excellent, the room had a beautiful view of the river and the staff we met were particularly warm from the welcome and goodbye from Perves, the porter to the breakfast service and conversation from Gustavo. Both are a real asset to this hotel which certainly made returning for us a must on our next return to London.Thank you
It is a traditional hotel and situated next to the River Thames. Rooms were adequate with underfloor heating in the well equipped bathroom. We were on Floor 8 and the walk to the room from the lobby was over 5 minutes even if the slow lifts were available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is close to Underground and other transport links. Good buffet breakfast.
Various issues….general condition of property, we had a tv that turned itself off and on which was reported within a couple of hours but not resolved, after 1st night the media box set itself a 6am alarm and then kept going off. Very noisy and certain members of staff rude, unpleasant and dismissive.
It was an amazing place to stay in the heart of London. The rooms and bathrooms were so specious and staff were so wonderful and helpful. Two thumbs up!
