I selected the Westminster London Hotel Curio Collection by Hilton based on previous reviews, especially cleanliness rate and location. Indeed, very clean hotel, well maintained, friendly staff. Safe, walkable area, day and night. You can walk just 10 min to Westminster Abbey, about 25 min to Trafalgar Square, and less than 5 min to Tate Britain and Lambeth Bridge. A few minor issues: Rooms were quite small (and I have no problem with that) except that I intentionally booked a room with two twin beds, and the room we got had, indeed, two twin beds but due to lack of space they were joined together with each other which defeats the purpose of SEPARATE TWIN BEDS. Have I wanted that, I could have booked a room with a single queen bed. Otherwise, nice shower, clean sheets and towels. The room/beds were made everyday. Someone (hotel management) has to think better about space organization for clothes/luggage since there is a closet there and also two alcoves in the room that could have been fitted better to provide some extra shelves/drawers; and please, put a toothbrush holder/cup - we used a water glass to put our brushes. The restaurant in the second floor of the hotel has a sort of generic/not too many choices menu but it might come handy to eat a bite whenever in a rush. Not too many restaurants in the area around the hotel but that's the case for the whole Westminster area until you hit Covent Garden. All in all, I wouldn't mind staying there for my future trips.

Convenient and value for money. Lovely location walking distance to Thames, Westminster Abby etc. Not super close to any subway stations if you are older or have disability but plenty of taxis around.

Absolutely lovely Hotel to go for!
Amazing location, walkable distance to london eye, tower bridge, buckingham palace etc. Staff are friendly and helpful. Transport network is on time if you prefer not to walk.

The only one problem in this hotel was the room itself. It was small and the washroom was not well-organized. The sink was too small. The tap had a defect and I hand to hold the faucet to maintain a steady flow of water, otherwise it will drop and close the tap.

Shocking hotel
There shower had plaster all over the head there was water damage to the selling we never use the shower as was worried about this did not see this till the morning and noticed this . The bed side usb port did not work and was unable to charge my phone that night so had flat battery today Also there a problem with the bar staff at 11.45 telling use we could not get a drink they was very rude and in the end allowed us to have glass wine and a bottle beer this was all we had been offered I am very disappointed with this as payed a lot money for night in the hotel and was treat not very well

Trapped in the Basement?
I cover 250 Hotels Restaurants pubs a year. Due to my role as a Building surveyor. Hotel was nice however could be so much better. Staff very friendly polite & professional. Especially Vejay at front desk. Room was nice Queen corner room . Clean etc. Breakfast itself was very poor. Fresh juice really watered down. Seating was mixed one day nice green chairs next day crammed white tables. Alot of people asking to be seated in a better area. As lots of space in green leather seated area. No plates for cooked breakfast. Asked two members of staff. Took 7 mins for plates. Bacon / sausages cold. No spoons again waited nearly 10 mins for staff to get spoons. No maple syrup again waited on staff. Gave up. As never arrived. Toaster broken. Coffee machine broken . Both for over two days ? Worst part basement car park. Took bags down from room to lift. One lift out of four goes to basement. I was trapped in basement for approx 20 mins. As if that lift is busy above then you can never call it down to the basement. I couldn't get up to hotel as no stairs. So i had to drive car around to front of hotel. Really not impressed. What would an elderly guest do in this situation. Terrible Health and safety 1974 act.
